Has he progressed to practicing with the team or still working 1 on 1s? You would think they would have more to say about it.

1 on 0 work currently.

He is supposed to get scans by the end of this week that will let us know if he can transition to 5 on 0 and 5 on 5.

If he is cleared, I would expect at least two weeks of that before he plays.

So at a minimum I would expect 3 weeks.

Probably best to wait for the scans to come back later this week to get a better idea of where he's at in the recovery. All the speculation won't give you anything worthwhile.

I don't expect that unless there is a set back with the scans.

They already had the previous injury his rookie year that he is pissed that the staff kept him out so long, so they probably aren't going to be as overly cautious.

There is also smoke about his camp posturing to get him to NYK, so we should just say frick saving his body and ride him until the wheels eventually fall off.

I would seriously doubt he plays in November. I'm sure he's fat and out of shape right now, and the longer we wait, the more out of shape he'll be.
December at the earliest, and if we keep sucking it up, would'nt be surprised if its January.

He's definitely fat right now. Ideally, he'd be around 260 while playing, but realistically I'm hoping for 285ish. It will be tough for him to drop 30-50 pounds in a month.

He has been able to do actual conditioning in the pool for awhile now and has been able to run full speed for almost two weeks now. He's obviously going to be in better shape now than he was 2 weeks ago, not worse.

And if he is cleared to start 5-0 and 5-5this week, he will obviously get in better shape.

It does not take 3 months for professional athletes to get in game shape if they need to be. Around Thanksgiving time at the latest if there are no setbacks is perfectly reasonable. That will be 6 weeks of full go ramp up.

I'm expecting around the 19th.

I know, im just being facetious. Regardless, if there is a timetable on his return, i seem to always expect to tack on some time.

Zion Williamson is doing a little bit of running on the court. Plan is for him to have another series of tests on his right foot later this week or early next week, Willie Green says.

Well that wording is a splash of cold water isn't it.

The word was once he was cleared to for 1-0, it was full go on that. "A little bit of running on the court" isn't full go.

It's a good sign that he's cleared to run on the court (hard surfaces). That means he's on track as far as recovery goes. I'm guessing the next set of scans will confirm no setbacks occured after he was cleared to put some stress on it.

The last part will be conditioning and getting quality practices in. But hearing he's beginning to be cleared to do more has got to be optimistic for the team.

He was cleared to run. That didn't mean that he was cleared to do it on hard surfaces. It could be treadmill or some sort of soft surface.
