I think it will mostly come down to perimeter play on both ends.
I'm cautiously optimistic.

Don't be surprised if golden state is a 2-4 seed. They've done this before, And they realize the playoffs the only thing that matters

anything less than 75 wins will be a disappointment, imo

Warriors and Clippers are two teams I would not be shocked to look up and see hovering around the middle of the playoff pack....yet still being Finals favorites.
both teams are going to prioritize playoff health given their stars age and recent history.
Though depending on the leap Kuminga/Wiseman/Moody/Poole make, it's not out of the realm of possibilities that Klay/Steph/Green take off 20 games and the Warriors are still 1-3 seeds.

some website called nj.pointsbet.com
has Pelicans o/u set at 44.5.
gsw at 50.5. seems low to me and bears out the idea that older stars will need rest. I got the over.
memphis 50.5 without Jj jr.
seems a stretch.
44.5 looks like play in. maybe 7th.
maybe 6th. should be exciting.
I think pels were set at 38.5 last year. now 6 games better.
I suspect most pelisons will go with the over. 44.5.

quote:if we are truly being realistic I think the clippers and warriors are the clear favorites out of the west regardless of regular season record. Kawhi was the best player in the league before he tore up his knee...there’s no other player that can swing a series like he can outside of curry.

if we wind up in a series with either of them I think the odds are extremely low of an upset. The goal should be to avoid either in the 1st round and the only way to do that is with a high seed

The Clip Show’s single biggest issue will be keeping Kawhi and PG13 healthy.
Good coach, good supporting roster, but we blew their doors off in the play in because they were running a seven or eight man rotation due to injuries and limitations of some of their bench players.
Getting Wall theoretically helps them, if he has a fraction of his old game, but it still comes down to those two being on court.

I think the Suns will regress a bit, especially if we have Zion and our young guys are coming along.
Golden State should scare the shite out of anyone. Clippers are still dependent on the health of their two stars.
Getting to at least 6th seed is important simply to make it to fight another day. As the playoffs go on, injuries will mount and a team with depth like ours can outlast some of these teams.
