Lebron being bounced round 1, when he is fighting for GOAT status, would be pretty harmful to his fragile ego. That would have a greater chance of causing internal strife, and thus desparate knee-jerk moves, than them failing in the Finals. Lets them burn now.

Maybe if they were at full strength. But they can blame the AD injury, whether they believe it or not.

Certainly an excuse will be provided but AD comes with that reputation. His injury is expected. Now Lebron can question if it is lack of toughness and if he is just truly fragile, but either way, he knows he cant trust AD to be there

No, if the Lakers were to make it to the Finals, they would still attract ring-chasing free agents this summer who would sign at a discount. That's the last thing that we want.

I had a tinfoil theory that the AD and Lebron 'injuries' during the year were just their way of managing workload.. They thought that even if they were the 8 seed they would still come out and win a series against #1-7 -- Vegas seemed to think the same.

Then they fricked around, AD got an actual injury...

main thing that will make or break our rebuild is having the right mentality. I don’t know if that’s something that can be learned or taught, but that’s the main thing some of our players need to improve, even more than the usual skill development.

Memphis has a bunch of fricking dogs on their team and that’s why they are getting every single ounce out of their talent

im sure you are right.

is it the coach setting expectations during practice?

did the gm pick and trade wisely?

brooks pac12 poy 2nd rounder is getting pub but many are first round.

learned?
demanded?
or innate?

It's happening...

Lebron half-assing when his teammates do something bad on offense. Just glared at Drummond for bouncing one off Lebitch's foot

What's that supposed to mean? He is going to the Knicks?

All day has been nothing but "can lebron put the Lakers on his back and win"

The resounding answer so far is no

Knowing his bitch arse he'll probably either retire or demand to be traded to some other city to avoid criticism

regardless of whether or not the Lakers reload next year and come back; this puts a little more shine on our picks for this big offseason.

ETA: Now sadly, we need the bucks to get smashed. Love Jrue, but both the bucks and lakers midterm futures in doubt would be just great.

Anybody see the “foul” on Lillard? If that’s a foul Zion needs to shoot 40 free throws a game

Is Lillard the most clutch player of all time ?

Except Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant and some others, it's hard to see clutch players like Lillard...

Easy to be clutch when you get 2 chances at it and the refs won’t let teams play defense against you.

Blame the league, not the player.
Lillard is very very clutch.

Can’t wait till BI or Zion get half the calls Lillard gets. They literally can’t play defense or it’s a foul and it’s clear Lillard knows that and is taking advantage

Ppl really ever watched Pelicans games. If they did this Mr.Glass narrative wouldn’t be news to anyone.

He’s actually been doing way better n LA
