Not only do I hear national sportscasters, but I even hear the complete negative bull---- coming from the locals on TV and radio. I just don't understand it. Yes, we all agree the Pels have been mismanaged, and of course the team was strapped by a broke owner Shinn. That was the past. This team has an owner that is willing to spend over the cap when it makes sense. At this time it doesn't makes sense. Every move this team has made in the past month makes total sense to me. I don't give a shite what happened last year, or last years record. I care about next season, and the seasons after. Stop the damn crying about every move this team makes, and try to be optimistic. The past is the past. This Pels are building a winner. Another thing. I'm so tired of the Zion talk that he is leaving. I don't care. If he wants to leave which I do not believe is true then TRADE him. One player does not make a Championship. The best thing that happened to the Pels besides new ownership was the AD trade. If AD wasn't so much of a glass jaw, who is to say he would not return just like Lebron did at Cleveland. It's the exact situation.

That remains to be seen. I’m a pos-pel but nothing about this front office has me jumping with joy just yet.

I don't see how you can be a Pelicans fan right now and not be disappointed. That can easily change but as it stands fans have every right to be questioning what's going on.

Every owner says this, until the time comes to nut up, then they go and trade Derrick Favors away to ensure they stay under the tax even though they had the best record in the league, and are still maybe looking to dump either Ingles or Bojan.

You know how the stop all the talk? Win.

Something this club has yet to do. I’m not the look-aid drinker you are. I’m Luke warm on graham. I don’t like his shooting percentages he seems to be a bad shooter but I’m good with getting him over ball but a splash still needs to be made if not this year by next to prove this team is serious between now and next year.

It's hard to build a contender. Very hard. Suns, Knicks, Magic, Hawks, and many others teams have barely sniffed the Larry O'brien. Winning a championship can be done right here at the Smoothie Center. Keep improving the roster with players that hate to lose, and watch what happens. When the Pels win a first round playoff, and take a team from the powerful west to seven games in the second round. That's when that one player will sign with this team to win it all. I've said it before, it will be bigger than winning the Super Bowl. Naw, and Kira are going to be excellent players. The roster is improving, but do not overspend for the wrong player. Build with youth at this time. Be patient. I don't care what happened in the past. If the Pels were in the east, we would all be experiencing more wins.

You can have an ounce of patience and realize this isn't over yet. The goal of the offseason was to add shooting. They are off to a good start, they have to add someone like Buddy/Bogdonavic to feel like they've met their goal, they may fall short, but we at least need to wait for them to actually fall on their face before we start pointing and laughing.

Pels fans are working with a pretend deadline of August 3rd. The rest of the league is working with a real deadline of August 6th. Real deadlines are usually what forces hands and make deals get done.

You better build the future by learning from the mistakes of the past... It's not being pessimistic, it's being realistic.

Saying that Zion will do his entire career at Pels is just a dream if there're no improvements of the team...

The blind optimism is much worse when you consider that this organization has rarely done anything to make anyone optimistic

Stop living in the past. There are reasons the Pels have not done well. BROKE OWNERSHIP BY GEORGE SHINN. That is why Chris Paul left. Baron Davis wanted LA because he wanted a career in motion pictures. Anthony Davis is nothing but a Lebron jock sniffer. Most Laker fans around the nation think the Lakers would be better off trading AD. This team will crash next season. The Lakers are just a few years away from falling apart just like our front office thinks they will. Thank God for the AD trade. We have a much better roster, and I'm surprised how few fans are not seeing the bad arse five we have. Jonas Valanciunas. He's a horse!

Shinn? Sounds like you are living in the past.

You mean the past that we have literally been burning through assets to correct in the present?

If you want to live with rose colored glasses on that's fine, but this group has done nothing to deserve that benefit of the doubt, and all I see with this roster right now is a 5th or 6th seed that has came at the expense of a good chunk of our assets.

I forgot to mention Dell Demps. I was pissed to hear this , but David Stern was right when he said that "Demps was the worst GM in the league". He alone put this franchise back five years.

To add to that. We are just picking up second rounds just to trade it for cash considerations.
