People like Perk says stuff like that (his original comments) because we're a newish franchise (compared to most of the league), we usually suck or are at best average on the court, and our arena is usually half empty (because we usually suck).
Over the last 15 years, there are 7 teams with a worse winning percentage than the Pels. The noise surrounding those franchises about selling are never anywhere close to what the Pels have to listen to.
It really boils down to the fact the people still don't believe New Orleans deserves an NBA team or at least that it can't support an NBA team. NBA people want a return to an old market like Seattle or a big shiny new market like Vegas. This of course ignores the overwhelming support the Pels get when we are occasionally good on the court.

Other issues too. Arena issue needs to be addressed. Sounds like the NBA wants a new arena . Price tag 900 million-1 billion. Just ask Oklahoma City. Until this gets resolved and we get a long term agreement through beyond 2029 expect doubters to continue.

Everything is for clicks. He’s just another click whore.

You have to give Kendrick a little leeway. He's a massive idiot after all. Like - it's hard to understand how he functions normally in life, let alone have any viable takes on anything.

It is a good market and a great opportunity for the right group. We should basically have rights from Lafayette, LA east to Pensacola, FL, covering a vast portion of the Gulf Coast (an area with over 4M potential viewers). That should be the focus with an approach to sell to all those areas, not be so SE Louisiana dominated. So we need better marketing and a more inclusive approach to capture more of those areas. I believe their are PE groups that would love that challenge (and potential payoff).
I don't hate or have anything against Benson. They saved the team and kept it in the region. But time has passed them by and its past time for new leadership. She doesn't even have to sell it all, just the majority share and take a step back..

Get Todd Graves to buy the PELs and Saints

Agree with this, if Rita is cleared on the cop battery charges and if she can find someone to buy 21% of the Pels this new group would have majority share and can turn the franchise.
