Why does Eason look so much more polished than Dyson despite Dyson playing in the G League?

I think the early results of the G League are that it has largely failed in its thesis that it can create an alternatively equal or better developmental pipeline for otherwise college players.

By and large It seems every year the highly touted G League guys come out and there are major deficiencies and developmental delays in their games that have them behind their equivalent college peers.

Jalen Green is sort of the lone standout and even he is arguably developmentally behind most of his top 8 peers and has surprisingly been a fairly inefficient shooter. When that was supposed to be his calling card

Yeah g league experience seems worse compared to college in regard to development. Playing in big matches in college with something to play for infront of 10k+ and national tv does a lot. Better coaching I’m sure as well depending on the school

I wonder how hurt CJ is. He really favors that hurt hand. I bet it’s much worse than we think.

I haven’t been watching lately but usually it’s him adjusting his brace after every shot. Not sure if it’s him in pain or anything. But maybe something happened recently I haven’t seen

Agreed.

I also think you are getting players into programs that have spent decades building up a ton of corporate knowledge and attracting the best coaches with ways of doing things that aim to materially improve player deficiencies and turn players into winners within a team concept, not just showcase them in what often feels like glorified street ball in the G League. It’s why I really like the idea of either going straight to the league or having to spend at least two seasons in college.

I think if I was big time recruit I would got to College especially with NIL now. Get paid and get to play in front of packed arenas. G league games probably have 1-2k people at most.

Soft and can't handle pressure. Win some close games, but 7/10 cave to pressure.

Refs calling every touchy foul for them. Even though it was a dum foul.

Ingram and CJ don't crack under pressure in the final minutes. Turnovers and forced shots. We need a win, Let's geaux Pels.
