Theres no "easy group" in the west, but sure the C group is the hardest
A: Contender Minnesota, up and coming Houston, and talented Sacramento & LAC; Portland is a easy game
B: Contender OKC, talented phoenix and LAL, up and coming SAS; Utah is an easy game
C: Contender Denver and Dallas, talented Memphis and NOLA; GSW is the easiest game
each one has at least 1 contender and a couple of talented teams.

Before showing unnecessary highlights of a random player taken in the 50s by the Lakers, they showed highlights of what looked like the Lakers winning a championship.

I might be in the minority but I actually enjoy the NBA cup. They seem to play more aggressive than just a regular game.

It was a great way to draw attention to the NBA at a time when most are barely paying attention due to football.
