Pels don’t win without Hawk

How trash arse is Ayton??? Those two missed dunks are inexcusable and pretty much lost them the game. Anybody that says we should trade for him anymore needs to be banned from any trade discussions. Ayton is horrible.

I am confident we have CJ successor in Hawk

Our bench is really balanced for the first time in this era. We have a true 6th man, hustle guys in Green and Jose, and a quality rim protector off the bench.
Best part is our bench gets deeper when Trey and Murray returns.

exactly...
for a large portion of that game, we absolutely deserved to lose, but they got it together, cut down on plays that were shooting themselves in the foot, and turned it on when they needed to, finding a way to win... huge growth game that they can look back and draw experience from ...

Missi played well again for the most part. Definitely not going to Birmingham anytime soon...

Typically I’d agree, but early season Zion is not elusive Zion
We see elusive Zion in March usually. We get a lot of borderline clumsy, barreling into people Zion and that’s almost impossible to officiate. Sometimes it’s easy when he dips his shoulder and runs someone clean over (like he did in a min left)
Glad we won. Ingram gets too much hate on this board. Griff did the right thing keeping him if the offers were as terrible as rumored this offseason

Who is this chic on pelicans ot?

Man Ayton is horrible.... If I'm a Portland fan.. Im hating that dude on my team with a max contract. He has no heart for the game. He's regressed so much to where he shouldn't be a starter anymore, let alone whatever he THINKS he is....

quote:Actually, you are right lol. Usually the first couple games he has a lot of turnovers and fumbles the rock trying to split defenders and maneuver the court.

Reason number 2446865 why +/- makes no sense
Theis +14 is the highest on the team

Theis played a good game. He has outplayed who he is in these first two games.
Not sure it's sustainable though.

He was a key part in the 4th when we made our runs. He accumulated most of his stats in the 4th as well. He balled out when we needed him and made Ayton look like a fool.

No he did not.
He took terrible shots and his offense is so terrible it’s like we are playing 4 on 5. And his defense is barely good enough to play against backups.
There’s a reason he lost his BACKUP center role at his last two teams.

Again, for who he is as a player, yes he did.
He did a really good job on Ayton in the 4th. What are you expecting from him?

That makes no sense.
So since he’s not capable of being any good we just accept his shitty play as “good enough for him”?

He wasn't shitty.
That's the thing.
And yes, players should definitely be judged on a scale.

He didn't do much scoring wise for sure but other wise did well in other areas.
