Whatever we do, we absolutely should be shopping Ingram this off-season in an attempt to get an upgrade, or 2-3 very good players.
Im still going to stick with my hope of
Nets: Ingram, Jose, Herb, Val
Pels: Bridges, Claxton, DFS, Mills, 23 1st from Nets
You downgrade Ingram to Bridges, but you upgrade Jonas to Claxton, Herb to DFS is a wash imo, Mills is a downgrade from Jose, but he's a 10 million dollar expiring we could flip along with Temple’s expiring for another player and maybe a pick like Johnathon Issac.

I agree, great effort. But with the value you have us giving up in most of these trades, it’s too much. The only ones I think I’d be interested in based soley off of these scenarios and in order of favorite to least would be Mikal Bridges, Devin Vassel, Myles turner. While I don’t love giving up herb for Myles turner in that trade, we will have to pay herb soon anyway which will be hard as we all know with other pay raises coming due soon too. But I dint think you give up 2 firsts. Valuncunias is a trade asset absolutely going into next year bc of expiring contract and a player who can contribute. Herb a young defensive difference maker and an unprotected first for a player in Myles turner who is about to be payed probably more than he deserves, but would be valuable to us given his skill set

Having said that, I also think their actual offensive numbers will probably favor Mikal from this point forward...whichever offensive numbers you choose to use. I understand how most folks don't believe this...but jmo...I doubt they have taken the trouble of analyzing Mikal's numbers and where they are most likely headed, from this point forward. It's fairly obvious...but also quite understandable...why most people wouldn't realize it
You have a habit of doing this thing where you won’t support your conclusions with facts. Instead you throw some vague statements around and call it a day.
Bridges doesn’t have BI’s offensive game. Just watch the way they’re used and the difficulty of the respective shots they have to take. Plus BI is much better at creating for others.

I assume no additiional "facts" need to be posted in regards to MB being a better defensive player than BI. Same goes for "availability" since Mikal has not missed a single game during his 5 years in the NBA.
In regards to offensive comparisons...it is fairly easy for find all stats relating to the two players at www.BasketballReference.com & I think with a bit of effort, you can see where I'm coming from on my opinions. Check all the stats...career and this year...I like to use eFG%/TS%/ and even all the way down to shooting % from the basic breakdowns of 0-3 feet...3-10 feet...10-16 feet...16-3-pt line...and 3-pt range...but feel free to go any direction you wish. It's pretty much all there.
Bottom line...it's easy to figure out MB, as I said, has made a quantum leap offensively this year (actually about midway of this year, for reasons I won't go into) BI is a very good player...just shoots too many contested mid-range shots, plays VERY little defense...and is prone to getting injured. MB is not ANY of these things and to be honest, the only question I have about MB's future...is that he might possibly devolve, like BI, into taking too many mid-range shots...since he has just recently developed a very effective mid-range fallback shot going to his left, which he seems to be able to get off any time he wishes. Sorry for getting too deep into the weeds...but rest assured, I coulda gone MUCH deeper.

I’m in. Trade everyone on this sad excuse for a team. The “war chest” needs to finally be used. The roster we have atm sucks and a change is desperately needed. Get coach Willy an offensive minded assistant coach that knows rotations too.

Bottom line: I'd trade BI (straight up if I had to) for Mikal Bridges.

Saw that...bottom line...he's pretty sharp. Maybe he got the idea from me...while visiting over here.

I’m not super interested in making major changes to the roster unless Willy shows us he is going to properly use the guys we have already.
At the moment trading for Josh Richardson is looking like a disaster and it’s 100% not Josh’s fault, as he has played fairly well, but Willy just can’t help himself and giving up 4 seconds to enable Willy’s scrappy defensive vet fixation was bad.
The Pels desperately need a backup 4 that can space the floor and provide some interior D.
Other than that we need Willy to limit the number of “defense only” guys on the court at one time, unless those guys show they can also keep the floor reasonably spaced.
The Pels are blessed with a bunch of guard oriented wings…surely there is a package out there for backup 4 that won’t break the bank.

I’ve come to the realization that CJ and BI can’t play together with Zion. Thats 3 guys that suck on defense and there’s just not much that can be done at the other two positions to make it better.
I think BI is who you need to win a playoff series b/c of his elite mid range game. I’m not trading BI.
I love you CJ but I think moving him is the best way to improve this team. We haven’t seen it enough, but when all three are playing CJ is really just a role player. I
CJ and Herb, 2 Pels seconds to Celtics
Derrick White and Kira to Raptors
Brogdon, Gary Trent Jr and 2 Boston firsts to Pels. Trent Jr opts into his player option and we give him an extension.
Brogdon and Gary Trent Jr compliment Zion and BI a lot more than CJ and Herb do. Brogdon is more of a PG than CJ and both are good defenders that knock down 3s, and will let BI and Zion be the leading scorers.

If you can somewhat scout, you can find a Claxton type player that can defend the rim without burning a top 5 pick and other assets. I truly believe that.

Just curious where folks stand on this one...? After what has happened lately...Would we trade BI straight up...for Ja Morant?...I would not.
