So I've been thinking this trade has less to do with Jackson and more to do with Boogie.
You are going in with the assumption AC/DC will work. So you have to resign Boogie. If I'm Dell and I think RJ makes us much closer to a playoff team THIS year because it retains boogie, then I make that move. The cap is a future Dell problem, and none of it matters if you don't resign boogie.
Not saying that is the right logic I just think that is what the logic is.

He will have two elite guys with him. I see big potential with RJ on this team. I honestly think it could work really well

He would have to be for salary purposes I think. Especially if we aren't moving Asik.

Pistons & Pelicans discussed a trade of Reggie Jackson for E'Twaun Moore, Alexis Ajinca & possibly Quincy Pondexter
Hmm. If we threw in QPon would something additional be coming our way? Would that clear room for another deal or signing a FA??

Dell's a fricking moron if his mindset is "all or nothing" for this season... With that said, it probably is his mindset.

Oh he's way better than Frazier? You people realize there's a salary cap and you wanna get an overpaid, average at best pg bc playing with 2 all stars he may step up and turn his career around?

Can we confirm someone didn't make a fake Michael Scotto account? I bet it was that same kid than made the fake Adrian Wojnarowski account

So if QP is included with the other two it's salary-neutral or very close to it, right?

Every option is predicated with "if's" but you are probably better off banking on the "if" being Dell signing good end of bench guys because he has done much better in this area than others.

I think it's really good odds that chieck does
I really like what I've seen of cook and I just don't know enough of frank to know.
At least you have 3 cheap(and pretty young) guys that could contribute in a positive manner.
Time will tell but the odds arent bad

Not really, the contracts of Qpon/Ajinca/Moore add up to roughly $1M more than what Jackson will make this season... In the long run though, we'd be taking on more money, because Qpon comes off the books after this season, Ajinca comes off the following year, while Jackson has 3 years left with his salary increasing each year.

Throwing in Qpon would basically be a salary dump because, unless something changes, he's out and his contract is covered by insurance.
The team could even include cash in the deal to help offset his salary.

I really don't think that's true.

Fraser's size alone made him a liability on defense. At least the guy we'd be trading for is significantly taller.

He's about 16 million dollars taller per year.

Bottom of the first page I said we might as well just expand Moore's role instead of this trade.
That said, he is much better than Fraizer. I don't even see how you could even debate that.

If this is about Boogie than Demps is dumber than I even thought. Boogie might end up killing Jackson if he comes here. RJ is not liked by his teammates in Detroit and it was the same when he was in OKC. Jackson is a headache to play with and the Pels need a model citizen.
