I've read many stories about the Kings in the last few years having to do with the tension between Evans and Cousins. I can't believe a new owner with a new GM and new coach and a new "star" want the dysfunction to continue. I also doubt Demps wants to wait 3 days with his cap tied up. Seems like there will be a S&T or we should walk away.

but I'd imagine that could affect our ability to sign him with Vasquez under contract.

We are going to trade Vasquez and more than likely Lopez. Money will not be an issue.

No doubt, but with our original offer to Tyreke, the plan was to deal/dump Lopez immediately, and keep Vasquez for a trade for a different player/pick.

I don't understand why the Kings would want a 29 year old Iguodala but... hey... whatever helps them to shy away from Evans.

Dealin' Dell the Ninja GM.

When this core built around our star starts raping the L, we can all think back to that fat frick walrus and laugh at what he tried to build around CP3.

The cost to keepTyreke Evans from signing the Pelicans offer sheet would be at least four years, $48 million.
Details

Stop posting that guy's tweets. He's like Sacramento's Fletcher.

Kings fans said they desperately needed a SF. I guess they wanted to try for the grand slam and just stick with their current guards instead of giving Tyreke more time and getting a guy like Dorell Wright.

And I can totally see them making this deal because of that.

I mean, we really need a SF, too, but even if we could we aren't throwing $70 million at a 29 year old Iggy coming off a rough season.

Yeah, I gotcha.

Iggy probably will help them more than Tyreke next year, but they aren't going anywhere so I really don't get it. Denver really needs to just let him walk if he's getting a max contract from there.

Just checked on the Kings boards again and they seem to all think that it would be a terrible move to let go of Reke and max out Andre. They all want to retain him and then get a guy like AK47 at the SF. Let's hope their GM is serious about Iggy.

The reaction among the Kings front office to the news Tyreke Evans had a four year, $44 million offer coming in from the Pelicans is pretty much the same one you had: They are going to pay him how much?

While they may ultimately decide not to, the Kings are considering matching the offer, reports the Sacramento Bee.

A source speaking on the condition of anonymity because negotiations are ongoing, indicated the Kings are considering matching the offer, even though the Pelicans’ offer sheet is above what they thought Evans would receive from another team.

Probasketball is legit. Sorry for the excitement guys, looks like Reke is staying with the Kings.
