I think “rebranding” is a little drastic at this stage.
As far as names go, I remember pimping for “ The Brass” at one time. I think it works if any name change is necessary.

Rebranding doesn't mean changin the team name. Could just mean a color scheme. I mean, Mardi Gras colors works fine. Though I wish we could be the first NBA team to incorporate actual metallic gold coloring into their uni. IIRC, Tom B. wanted the Pels to be black and gold, but for whatever silly reason, Stern wasn't having it. Something about not wanting to have direct marketing ties with the NFL.

It would depend on the bigger picture of what they’re doing with the franchise. I see no reason for a name change right now.

This is beyond silly rumor mongering. The Front Office is what needs rebranding and it looks like that’s what they are doing. The team name and colors are fine.

It’s more relevant in basketball, the subject of the thread.Just like Lakers are synonymous with Los Angeles, not the land of 1000 lakes.
The Jazz are synonymous with Utah.
jazz music is synonymous with New Orleans.
New Orleans Jazz is synonymous with bad ownership and failure to live up NBA standards.
Baltimore didn’t cry for the Colts name, they got a better name instead.
I like the Pels name. Wasn’t my first choice, but its fine.
All these crybabies over a nickname...Ill bet you guys are listening to jazz when you’re driving, @ the gym(lol), or at a your neighborhood dive. It’s crying for nostalgia of a five year period of a basketball team.
It’s a moot point, anyway. The Utah Jazz are so entrenched, they would have to fold(not happening they have a great fanbase) to even consider that.

If they change the name again of course the Jazz needs to be at least attempted to negotiate with Utah. Look at the bright side; nothing can be worse than the Baby Cakes. If they do change the branding the new uniforms should be black like the Saints. Players are young kids remember so good looking uniforms would help with getting good players and black unis would be very sharp.
