AR needs to work on his FT shooting badly and his finishing. That alone will make him a 10-12 point guy off the bench.

Agreed, like you said his defense is solid, even if he's nothing more than a defensive bench combo guard good for 10-12 a night (with better FT shooting) I'll take that.

getting forced into the starting role before he needed to be

Biggest factor IMO. Gordon couldn't play and Rivers was thrown to the wolves. It overwhelmed him and he was playing nervous and scared. Once he settled in, he was able to make better decisions and shot the ball much better. Then his unfortunate injury happened. Next year should be fun with him.

to add on to my other post, the timing of his season-ending injury was just shitty because he was finally putting some shite together in his last few games.

All very well said and I think most on here would agree. GV is right on the border of good bench player and starter but he's got some bad deficiencies that have him towards the former. The bottom line is this team needs more talent at every position except the 4. It's going to be a long rebuild so anyone that says fire Monty if we don't make the playoffs has way too high of expectations unless we get someone really talented in the off-season.

I was expecting us to be pushing for 8th seed if EG started the season 100% but anyone that was expecting us to be a top 3 seed, or a massive contender should just stop posting. I agree we definitely need more talent, which is why I wish this draft wasn't such a shitstorm.

Yeah I think a lot of us were expecting that, but even watching the team now with an almost completely healthy roster, I think we were still lottery bound. We have decent talent, but it's mostly young, mistake-prone talent. It'll take a while for this roster to get the talent it needs and for the young guys to establish themselves in the NBA in order for us to truly be a threat.

Most tend to believe that Vasquez is better suited as a back up, but there are only a few rantards that want him off the team

If you told me when we got Grevis from Memphis that he would put up these kind of stats, I'd say you're crazy. He's done very well for a late first round pick.

A lot will disagree about Rivers. No one expected him to be anything special this year, but he was downright god awful at the beginning of the year. I think he'll be a decent bench player down the road though, but that remains to be seen

His progress could really speed up our rebuilding process.

Remember when we all were talking about taking Lillard at 10 then he shot up the boards?

if he can put it together, he's going to be a solid bench man/fringe starter in the NBA. which is good for the 10th pick. people forget about his early injury, getting forced into the starting role before he needed to be, etc. he's going to be fine. he needs to get healthy this offseason and work at the line a good bit.

quail man, you get it. It's almost like people saw hes the son of one of the most successful coaches currently in the league and expect greatness, when he was selected you had to know he would be a project.

Definitely, didnt want to see him end the season like that. Would love for him to be getting some minutes now and see how he would still be progressing.

Honestly by the time we get the talent to be a threat, I think the young guys will have already established themselves. Exciting to see what the FO decides to do
