Also, there’s totally a market for the Pels on the MS Gulf Coast. Those crazy asses support a minor league hockey and baseball team. You don’t think they’d support the shite out of the Pels if they start winning?

think you’ll see an overhaul on the marketing team for the Pels as well to see less overlap with the Saints.
The Pels are Gayle’s baby. She’s willing to spend the $$$ to see them successful now that it appears they’re returning some of the investment she put in
I think that is quite presumptuous, and I don’t think we are on the verge of some big charge all of a sudden,
I think she’s pretty comfortable with the structure now. She’s not a business person, she does not see things that way.

The Pels sphere of influence should include Lake Charles, Lafayette, Baton Rouge, Houma, the Northshore, Hattiesburg, Gulfport and Biloxi. Everyone in that market could easily make it to a game, and it is close enough to be considered the home team. You could even expand it to Jackson, Alexandria, Birmingham and Mobil and Penscaloa though your TV market if you market it correctly.
The Pelicans have NOLA. They need to poor their outreach effort into other cities.

the buzz here in BR for the Pels is growing, but the marketing they could be doing of course could be better. I know several people who make the hour drive down occasionally with their season tickets.
Once they lock down BR, SWLA, South Mississippi, and even into West Alabama like the Saints have it will be so beneficial.
The other day my grandmother (who usually only watches football aka LSU and the Saints) even watched Game 3 and 4 with me, asked me whats a backcourt violation and stuff
She loves to watch Alvarado play.

I was reading the Pelicans Reddit, and one fan went to the game last night and then drove back home to Shreveport.
That wasn't me on Reddit but that's what I have to do because I'm in Bossier. Just to go to one game you have to have a weekend free or take 2 days off. It sucks. The Pels interest up here is extremely small. No merchandise at all at the Academy's and a just a little at Dicks. Games are NEVER on the TV's at bars/restaurants, I always have to request it (half the time they don't have Ballys). I have countless friends on Facebook always posting about the Saints during football season and I can think of two of them that post about the Pels, and that's only been lately.

She was running her own successful interior design company at the time she met Tom.

I think some major Tv changes are coming.
Idk about the rest of the marketing department or their plans but I guarantee Gayle and Griff are going to do whatever they can to get us on more LA and South MS TVs next year

The TV deal is absurd. I'm 15 minutes from the blender, but can't watch even away games on TV because it's only on shitty Cox so streaming is the way to go.
