Our defensive problem?

Some interesting tweets about the Cavs game from Hardwood Paroxysm

Caught up on Pelicans-Cavs yesterday, few interesting wrinkles outside of just "LeBron and Kyrie are awesome."
Blatt had to keep Love on the floor for offense, which meant he had to put Varejao on Anderson half the time, leaving no rim protection.
Also, the Cavs ran a lot more pick and roll in that game than they did in previous games (eye test, haven't seen the numbers)
So the "they're coming together!" storyline will get a lot of play, but there was also a lot of what I've been yelling about: simplifying it
Been trying to figure out problem with Pelicans defensively, and I think I have it. They don't locate threats. They just run to position.
That was really the biggest problem for the Pelicans. They jog down the court and just kind of hang out, instead of attaching to guys.
So there's Mike Miler freely running to the corner with no one really ssaying "oh, I should probably go guard him"
And then LeBron's picking up steam at half court, and no one's really realizing, "we better get some help weakside."
Austin Rivers does show some good things offensively, but teams keep targeting him on the defensive end.
And Williams ran out a Fredette-Rivers-Salmons lineup at one point that had me throwing couch cushions and audibly booing it, on replay.
And Wlliams threw out that Stinky Fish lineup WITH LEBRON ON THE FLOOR!

Monty still has rotation problems

In his defense, what else is he supposed to throw out there? Russ Smith?
I believe babbit and miller were inactive correct?

One of Evans, Gordon, or Jrue should be out there

His rotations had been good in previous games but Monty apparently doesn't know how to coach a large first half lead
He left the starters out too long. Gave the Cavs hope going into half

I think they are still working on the rotations and trying to figure out what's going to be the most effective and when to use them.. I think we will see improvement by december

Yea, your right, obviously don't want those three out there with LeBron.
that was a huge part of that game, up until that point he LeBron was playing pretty passive. He saw that lineup and went straight into attack mode.

There is NO EXCUSE with everyone healthy to have less than 3 of our main 6 guys on the floor at any time in the game.

At am minimum. Really should have 2 of the 3 out there at all times.
