If the Pelicans won a championship or came close to it- and Saints continue to struggle- I think this might change the tide towards the Pels. But thats asking a lot for the Pels to do when in our history we haven’t gotten out of the second round.

Your statement pretty dumb. Fans will go to Pels games if the Pels are winning, regardless of the saints.

2007 is a great example. Saints had a losing record, Hornets won over 50 games including a playoff series, Hive was packed once fans realized we had a good team.

Maybe you’re a new fan, but the saints were actually pretty terrible the first 35-40 years. Despite that, people in New Orleans still went out, spent money and enjoyed themselves. We got alot of little kids or relatively new fans who think the saints first year was 2006.

My statement is "pretty dumb" even though I said exactly what you said several times?? On of us is confused.

Not only is their very little correlation with how the Saints are doing to how the fans will support the Pelicans

Then you said this:
quote:

When the Saints suck it’s the opposite. When people are excited they are much more likely to want to go to a Tuesday Pels game at the Blender than if they’re pissed off and depressed with the Saints. It’s just human nature. When you’re excited you want to do things. So to any degree the success (or lack thereof) of the Saints affects the Pelicans

Which one is it? It looks like you’re saying there’s no correlation to saints success and Pels attendance, but then you said pels attendance gets affected by the saints success. Which one is it? I’m confused because it sounds like you’re contradicting yourself.

Reading comprehension shouldn't be this hard. I said "To any degree the success (or lack thereof) of te Saints affects the Pelicans" (which if you just think about it is clearly implying there isn't much), the Saints doing well would actually help the Pelicans. Right after that I say (I would have thought quite clearly), "Bottom line is if the Pels are good the fans will show," What part of this is confusing to you??

It was the part where you started off saying there’s no correlation between saints success and fans attending games then you said saints success affects pels attendance. You literally said when the saints lose, fans get mad and don’t go to Tuesday games. This was after you said there’s no correlation between saints success and pels attendance.

Is writing comprehension that hard for you?

My mistake trying to explain context to someone who wrote "Your statement pretty dumb." I'll just say instead "you not understand real good."

Again, this isn’t hard. You can easily be a fan of both teams, they play different sports and only overlap for two months of the year. I would also say if anything, when both teams are good (if it ever happens) it would only help fandom for both. I’m not any less of a LSU baseball fan when the LSU football team is rolling and vice versa.

Your being hard headed. The Saints are bad. It would make the year better if the Pels were good. Otherwise it will be a shitty sports season all the way around for New Orleans.

That two month overlap is also time to garner extra attention from casual fans that would normally be paying attention to football.

Of course it would; who is denying that? I just don't see where the Saints being good or bad will have any effect on Pels' attendance. If the Pels are winning people will show up. If they aren't they won't.

You've contradicted yourself in this thread and have said the literal opposite of this quote.

As long as we are healthy we will be a good team. If we get 60 games or more each from Zion, BI and CJ I think we are a top 5 team in the west.
