Once again, Summer League is proven to be absolutely pointless in player evals

I didn't take my own advice once again. For some reason, I blew off Hawk's struggles in SL because I've see what he can do in the regular season.

But a few games of Missi and I was like meh.

It just goes to show how hard player eval is. You would think that a guy who can do what he did in a real NBA game would dominate SL.

I know the reasons why they don't, style of play, caliber of players, etc., but it's still a little hard for me to wrap my brain around why some guys suck so much in SL but are good NBA players and the opposite.

I really thought Karlo Matkovic would have gotten more minutes last night. He played at the end of the game 1 minute.

Based on what we were hearing, I thought he would be way ahead of Missi.

Didn’t Jaxson score like 19 in his first regular season game? Hard to take 1 game sample sizes seriously either.

I really liked what I saw but… we will see.

Reed Sheppard was supposed to be a star right away. Give it 20 hands and let's see. But I will admit Missi even contributing this early is a shock

It is only one game for Missi. Jaxson had the lost puppy in a strange neighborhood look in his first year that continued through his entire Pelican career. I don't get that impression from Missi's first game. Missi seems like someone who is a more serious student of the game than Jaxson will ever be.
