By far the worst scoring option on the team, clearly underperforming on defense, speaks less English than Vakidis. What's the solution here? Do we go after Jason Smith in FA next year to try to make up for his lack of productivity on offense? He's the most frustrating player to watch on the team for me.

paid to be a defensive center. running your offense through him is idiotic, not his fault that our guards are retarded about that.

He's a frustrating player on that but he's an elite rebounder and good defender. Good rim protector.

If we had better shooters it wouldn't be as much of an issue.

Oh god know. Offensively, I much prefer Asik. He doesn't frequently shoot the worst shot in Bball(long 2s) with no center under the goal to rebound.

It seems like he's regressed defensively. He can't rebound the damn ball because he can't catch it, and when he gets hacked going for a rebound he's going to make 1 FT at best.

This a joke?

Ajinca is arguably better and costs less.

He's really bad - I don't see how anybody can say he's better at a single thing than Robin Lopez was. I still don't get why nobody seemed to like Robin Lopez while he was here. The guy is a winning center who plays within himself and with passion. Oh, and he could make free throws.

Asik is flakey, passive, and fricks up the play every time he touches the ball.

Jason Smith has been at 2.5 mil for the past few years. He won't get that much next year. And I haven't seen what makes Asik "elite" in quite a while.

Smith is terrible. No idea why this board liked him so much. He barely plays in NY and their entire team is garbage.

He's been hurt all season but he was terrific the last 2 years.

Having a center that can score from more than under the rim opens the late for Tyreke while clearing space for AD to come crashing in for put backs. Asik is a 7' obstacle to get to the rim.

No even when he played he was below par.

He wasn't close to amazing the past 2 years. Solid maybe but that's it.

Know how many centers there are that have a decent jumpshot and can play solid defense?

Tyreke is a bigger issue to this team than Asik is.

Doesn't stop Portland or Houston or LAC or just about every other team in the league.

Um, what? Nobody in their right mind thinks Robin Lopez is better at rebounding, interior defense, or screen setting.

Has has bogut, SA has diaw and even splitter has a post game. DH has developed a significant bank shot from about 10 feet. Noah can score from 8-10 feet. Cousins can shoot from decent range. Deandre Jordan can't shoot but if you throw it to him he's gonna catch it and dunk it. Gasol can shoot from anywhere. I'd say the list of teams that have a non-offensive contributor at Center are actually greatly outnumbered...
