I didn't have the Hawks as the bail out the Lakers team for 2024. I find it hard to believe that the best deal they could get for Murray is a Lakers deal. Hell we could beat anything the Lakers offer without having to clear out our warchest.

Feels like there have been several trades to help the Lakers over the years in which you feel like the other team could have made a better trade.

People keep repeating this, but this is just not true regarding the Utah trade. The Lakers were the only team that could give the Jazz what they wanted, to get off of Conley's contract and get an asset for players they weren't keeping. Other teams could match assets for Beasley/Vanderbilt, but didn't have an expiring contract like Westbrook to help Utah clear the books.

That's kind of how we got CJ and Nance for a good deal. Our competitors, the Bulls and Knicks, were trying to send back bad contracts, not expiring contracts, so we got CJ. Portland didn't do us a solid, they made the best deal available for themselves.

Forgot which pod I was listening to and who said it but basically, the Lakers could have done that entire deal without having to get D'Angelo Russell, so they could have had Conley instead of Russell and Minny be stuck with Russell right now.

That's quite the frick up for the Lakers and the Twolves are super lucky right now, because they'd be decidedly worse this season if they had Russell playing those Conley minutes.

I mean shite he had 16 points in 19 minutes and didn’t play a minute in the 4th quarter while his team blew an 18 point lead

I’d be pissed too

People are frustrated with losing. Like we said about the Pelicans plenty of times earlier this season, winning fixes a lot of problems and makes frustrations disappear.

What's wild is that, before the season, most people would have picked the Warriors, Lakers, and Suns as top-five teams in the West.

Player said expectations for themselves and for their teams. The failing of team goals is just as bad as the failure to achieve individual goals.

They were supposed to turn the dynasty over to Wiseman, Poole, Kuminga, and Moody. Lamelo went a pick after Wiseman, Franz went one pick after Kuminga, and Senguin went two after Moody. That's rough.

Pretty sure Moody's camp is upset with the DNPs while the rookie Podziemski took all his minutes.

Huerter has apparently been bad this year. Shooting is down and is not good enough on defense to ignore his struggles. Looks like they've moved in to Duarte in the starting line up.

Yeah, but the Kings aren't interested in picks. They would want someone of equal or better talent, someone who we wouldn't want to give up.

That would make a third team necessary.

I assume they'd want a rotation level big.

Huerter has been terrible. Seems like teams have solved the Kings' action they ran well last year with Huerter and Sabonis. I don't see him as an upgrade for the Pels.

That's terrible coaching. Kuminga had the best +/- and only one turnover, so it makes no sense that he was benched.

Kuminga had the best +/- because he didn't play in the 4th.

The Warriors had a 18 point lead with less than 7 minutes left to go.

Kerr went with Wiggins and Saric and got burned by Gordon who scored 15 in the quarter.

Kerr went with his vets and they were only able to manufacture 4 points in the final 6:51.

It's a failure from to bottom.

Think about who you want to give up if we were to make a trade (not counting Kira/EJ/Zeller), or, think about who's minutes you want to take away if we were to make a trade for someone using Kira/EJ.
The answer is pretty simple, no one.

We already have too many good players, and we have a young player who needs minutes that we can't find for him.

The only trades we would potentially make, other than for minimum bench guys, would be to upgrade a position, and we aren't trading any of our main guys right now.

If you think we'd beat the Nuggets or Celtics or Bucks in a playoff series, I'd agree.

I doubt very many Pels fans truly think that so I don't know why we would hope to not make a trade.

We do have redundant pieces, a consolidation trade makes sense
