Imo, it seems like LAC are setting themselves up nicely for whatever direction Kawhi goes. If he comes to LAC, they will be probably the favorite to win the title. If he doesn’t then they are looking good to still compete in the West.
LAL will either get Kawhi or over pay for Boogie imo.

Looks like Dallas won by not participating.
They were being asked to take on twice as much salary as the Clippers as well as not getting a pick out of it.

Given the current landscape, he options are to take the minimum for a year and have Memphis effectively pay his salary or try and get more money but offset what Memphis paid to buy him out.
I can’t think of the last guy to take a buyout and NOT end up on a minimum deal that season if they remained in the league.

Lakers insider who’s gotten everything right involved with the Lakers. Even predicted the Horford deal to Philly before anyone was talking about it weeks ago. I think the only think he got wrong was Ingram not being a part of the pels deal

if the clippers were out of the Kawhi sweepstakes, then they would be filling up the remainder of their cap sheet or making trades. they took on harkless and have the exact amount of space for a max slot, that's no coincidence
