Jrue was on a minutes restriction for 4 months when he was coming back from his foot fracture and finally following doctor's orders. If Zion is able to ramp up, I'd expect him to be playing 15-20 MPG off the bench the entire time.

Willie Green says Zion was cleared to do 1-on-1 work today.
Green splashed cold water on him coming back. Basically said without all the sugar coating that he wasn't ready.
Is playing this season an option? "We don't know. The update is the update. He's still working towards being able to play."

Right and I just don't know if we have the time left in the season for that. IF he's good to go and if they ramp up and he has no pain or swelling and the imaging comes back clean...
Fine, let's roll. There is value in him playing I just don't want them to do anything rash, that's all my point has been all along.
I don't know if we have enough time to get him back safely.

To me Im just happy Zion is around the team, seemingly in a good place mentally, and gets to be in the middle of the culture and atmosphere that seems to just keep trending positively.
If he doesnt make it back(and I doubt he does), it should leave a really good impression and have him motivated to play for THIS team.

Seems like he actually forced the FO’s hand with the video… will be interesting to see how this plays out
