Haven't asked.

All this stuff is essentially on pace with what came out this past summer. At the time, there was an idea that a long-term naming rights sponsor could have its brand worked into the interior upgrades this Summer, which would mean that its best for all parties to have a deal in place by then. Plus, this would give some exposure during the ASG.

In terms of who, the Seafood thing in some way was still out there, at least in some form. Some politicians were balking at such a use of BP funds, or a use that could be construed that way, but it would fit with all the `cause' stuff the Benson Empire trotted out about Pelicans.

Is it wise to bring Phish you like into the watershed of some Pelicans?

the plans look awesome. hopefully they will also get rid of those hideous piss stain looking upper bowl seats. the entire lower bowl seats should either be all black or grey or the new team colors as well.

Will NEVER be played at NOLA Arena. I was in the noise bleeds at the Dome last year and I could still see fine.

Sorry. I should have been more clear. As part of that, we got two years of earlier round play in the Arena. So it's the whole package.

You are absolutely right that the last 3 games will be in stadia.

Looks great. Can't wait to see this come to fruition along with the rest of the Champions Square improvements.

They need to upgrade the scoreboard above the court to make it more like this.

You realize that the Toyota Center has a new screen now that is the biggest in the league, right?

eta: how sick would that be in the Arena?

That's the pic I was looking for! Saw this last night during the all-star game. Something close to this is needed at the arena IMO.

Why would they need a screen like that? Are you there to watch the game or the damn seafood race?

B/c when I sit courtside and I want to see a replay or the stats I don't want to have to squint.

I personally don't like the obsession with huge screens in arenas. It's not like the Dome. I do think they could improve the quality of the screens for better clarity, but they don't need to hang some 4000 foot screen for me to watch sweat particles flail about in slo-mo.

I also do not 'get' the huge screen obsession.

High definition... yes.

The screens in the Superdome are an embarrassment.

The screens in the Arena could certainly be better, but they are fine.

The Dome screens could use a bump in size. The Cowboys Stadium size is not needed.
