That’s awesome.

Should be permanent colors IMO

I was coming to post this very pic, seeing as I just bought this jersey this weekend. I'll buy the new Pels one too. I however prefer last year's, minus the "dancing numbers ".

My MG jersey ranking:

1) 2017 (minus "dancing numbers")
2) 2018 Perlis stripes
3) 2009 Different front and rear
4) 2015 Sleeves shouldn't be on basketball jerseys

Just curious, why would you give money to a team/owner that has shite on our area and has already announced it's moving to Wichita in a couple of years?

Same reason I have NOLA Breakers and NOLA Night pennants, Voodoo, Jazz, Zephyrs, and Brass jerseys. It's a piece of NOLA sports history. Just nostalgic like that. That, and I like the font and will probably wear this during MG.

I'm just curious, do you, or would you, trash your team's gear if they up and moved? Or just not contribute to new sales revenue to stick it to the owners moving the team? I get that, but I also figured it's easier to buy the stuff now rather than waiting and buying the throwback stuff down the line.

They should pair them short khaki shirts and ray-bans.

I dig it. Simple, clean design and most importantly, no sleeves!

I gotcha. I also have all that stuff as well except for the Night and Brass.

I'm a lot harder on the Baby Cakes and Schwecheimer. Since that farce of a "name the team" contest and them sticking us with derived (not actual) laughingstock of a name, they have not seen a dime of my money, and will not... Guy was never really into building a team here, just making money until his big plan, which was moving them to Havana (look up his involvement in the 'Caribbean Baseball Initiative' and 'Baseball Havana'). Trump's surprising election and ending the Obama moves to open trade with Cuba put the kibosh on that.

...still have Zephyrs gear and merch that I wear and use. And proudly rep homemade New Orleans Buccaneers, New Orleans Nets (WTT), and of course New Orleans Jazz t-shirts and sweatshirts.

Dude it's minor league baseball...

It's all about gimmicks, cheap family fun and potentially watching future MLBers.

Not totally. It is also about building a rapport with the locals, which he has never done. He also was known for marketing and giveaways as a method of drawing fans to the game. That has suffered since he has purchased the team. He has been a disaster for this area.

The disaster was ever building the stadium on Airline highway. There's nothing around the Shrine. If NOLA snags another MiLB team, they should consider a stadium in a more exciting area of town.

They could easily attract random tourists/convention goers if located in the CBD area - the types of ppl needed to sustain a MiLB in this market. Two pro teams, LSU (including the ever popular LSU baseball), Tulane and other endless entertainment options all trump MiLB located in Metairie for actual residents.

The last time most ppl went to the Shrine it was to see the Wally Pontiff Classic, Catholic League football or that Mumford & Sons concert a few years back. Most ppl aren't going to the Shrine more than once or twice at most a season (if that).

This is not MLB and NOLA will not get an MLB team (at least in our lifetimes). Many minor league teams play in suburbs and are not usually huge draws for tourism. That is not the main issue. Poor owners, bad management and bad affiliations have been the issues.

Why do they only have AD jerseys available in the city edition? Anyone know when they will come out with ones for other players? I wanted to get my nephew a Jrue one.
