So all we give up is the worst contract in the league and we get back Gallinari.
The pistons give up the 2nd worst contract in the league, get the worst, but get Chandler.
The Nuggets do this for some reason. I'm guessing Brain Slug.

Yeah, no one wants Gordon, but that is the awesomeness of the trade machine. Ha.

Where do I start? The bottom line is EG, unfortunately, isn't going anywhere...no trade, no opt out, no retirement, nothing.
If he had an expiring contract, there is a slim chance that some team might take the bate...but that's not the case.
If EG was showing signs of reestablishing himself as a play-maker, there is a slim chance some team would take a shot...but that's not the case.

I'd trade Gordon right now for a 99cent bag of shite crackers, just so we could have the freedom from his contract next year.. This team has no shot at a championship run until he is gone.

I still think there is a team that would take Gordon. If we offered the Pacers Gordon and Babbitt for G. Hill, Scola and S. Hill (LINK ). I think the Pacers might bite on that. The future money is almost dead even, only we would have G. Hill for an extra season. We could release Scola right away, so he could find another team or retire. We get a nice prospect in S. Hill (plus PG depth). Gordon gets a fresh start back home. Win-win for everybody..

I don't think the Lakers want Gordon clogging up their cap space for next season. Even if they're just facilitating in a 4 team trade, you still need someone who's happy to end up with Gordon while sending out much long term money. Jeff Green/Gerald Wallace is about the only situation I think I could see us being ok taking long term salary back, but we wouldn't need a facilitator for that.

i think they are tanking, both to keep their draft pick this year, and to clear the books for 2016
eric gordon is not going to mess up their tank, in fact he may help with that. in any event, he comes off the books before the spending spree in 2016, even if he were to opt in for next year with the lakers. and you never know, EG back in LA might re-ignite his career, and get them a player they can use as a trade chip/expiring
i would take nash's contract + wesley johnson back for EG in a heartbeat

Assuming we are stuck with Gordon next year, do we flip him at the deadline or let the money come off the books?
