Bulls guard Lonzo Ball is not expected to participate in training camp and is doubtful for the start of the regular season with lingering pain and discomfort following knee surgery in January, sources tell me and @ramonashelburne ESPN story:

It very well could be at this point if he’s got knee pain but no damage

before the left knee it was his left ankle.
that’s a really bad contract if he can’t play

13/5/5...devonte Graham’s career averages are 13/3/5

Graham can't touch Lonzo. Lonzo actually plays defense and gets steals and blocks. The biggest difference though is Lonzo is improving year over year and Graham is at best maintaining, in my eyes he is getting worse. They both make bonehead decisions and that is why I rather not see either play in a Pels uniform.

Last season, and now this season, injuries are keeping Lonzo sidelined, then the Bulls deal sucks compared to Graham.

Lonzo and graham have very (very) similar counting stats and advanced stats. Lonzo is the far better defender and rebounder (he’s the bigger player) and graham is the far better shooter. Overall stats, PER, win shares etc are nearly identical

you could say they both identically suck I guess

And to think I used to get laughed off of this board when I suggested Lonzo was fragile and extremely injury prone.

you were also all up in griffs arse for not getting more for him LOL. Fragile and injury prone isn’t worth what it used to be I guess

I said a bunch of times, he should have been traded for Lauri M when he was offered. They at least pulled a first for him. Sinething we couldn’t do.

And this should surprise no one. At least it will be a whole lot easier to trade Graham. Especially if he starts nailing his threes on the 2nd team.

I’m by no means a Lonzo apologizer, but I just don’t see how you come to this conclusion usless you discount the last two years of Lonzo’s growth. Lonzo has had 2 consecutive seasons with far better shooting stats than Graham has ever had in his career. Graham is and always has been an average shot chucker that could rack up some assists with high usage

I mean we all pretty much were lol. It was still a bad value trade and free agency offseason period if we are being honest with ourselves.

Luckily, Portland decided to blow it up and the GM who never would’ve traded CJ wasn’t there anymore, so we were able to use the money/cap saved to pick up CJ. But that definitely wasn’t a guarantee. That just happened to work out in our favor.

Honestly Lonzo is better than Graham no doubt.

And we are lucky as hell that we didn't resign him. No one would take Lonzo over CJ.
