So the Pels can get the first 2 picks in the draft if they want?

Finally someone with some sense. Morant is the better player the better building block and the player better suited to succeed in today’s NBA. He’s the best point guard prospect since the rule changes and this is a point guard dominant league. Zion is pure athlete very little skill. He doesn’t make others around him better and he can’t elevate a franchise. He’s a luxury item he’ll take your breath away with highlights but end the end his line will look an awful lot like Julius Randle’s. This pick is too important to throw away on a 6-6 power forward when you have a point guard who WILL be the best player at the most important position in the NBA at some point in his career. Morant is the pick and I pray somebody in the front office is smart enough and bold enough to make it.

All have gone farther than AD but I bet you thought you made a point so I’m happy for you.

I see a Larry Johnson type player in Williamson. Now, is Davis his Alonzo Mourning? And will Williamson hold up physically as Johnson did not? When all is said and done, Williamson/ the #1 draft pick is a huge asset this franchise did not have at the beginning of the day. Options are a plenty. Let's see how it plays out.

Yes. Sequence is simply:
1. Trade AD to Knicks
2. Use Knicks picks + players to move up a single spot for Morant.

CP3 has gone to a conference final ONCE in his career despite leading extremely talented teams
What has Westbrook done since durant has left? 3 first round exits in a row
It is not a PG dominated league but you do need a solid one

That would be great but it’s a far cry from “if they want to” don’t you think?

It's not a far cry. If they want him, he's a Pelican.

So is Jrue one of the "+players"? If he is not, how do Jrue and Morant coexist? Because I don't think Jrue is what you really want at the two if Morant is your PG. Now I'll give you this...if Jrue is a part of whatever and you get Morant and Williamson, it's not ideal IMO but it's a decent start for a rebuild.

That’s not what I said at all?
I was talking about Simmons struggling from outside. If Simmons could shoot outside they’d be in the ECF, no?

Highly disagree and I like Morant

Morant’s best NBA comparison is John Wall.
Now would I like a more mature John Wall on a rookie contract? Absolutely.
Would I want him over an AD style transcendent big man? No.

Its not that hard to get a competent or even good PG
Players like Zion and his potential skill set? Hell yeah

you're right I mean the Greek freak is a horrible player and he can't shoot

You have to take Zion, at least we are playin with house money.

Use AD to get #2. Zion, Morant, Jrue and Randle. Boom.

I understand what you’re saying but I would not flat out pick morant over Zion, if we was to go that route I would trade the number 1 pick to Memphis and get a lot more plus morant

32% from 3?
33.8%. For reference, Leb]Bron shot 33.9 this past season and shot less than 33,8% in 7 of his 15 other NBA seasons.
Zion also shot 68% from the field. EFG% 708%.
Ja Morant career wise shot 34.3% from the 3 pt line slightly better than 33.8%. He shot 30.75 in his freshman year, somewhat worse than 33.8%.
Ja shot 48.5% from field. EFG 53.6%
And Zion is playing against much stiffer competition that Ja. Duke’s SOS #2. Murray States’s SOS #220

But let’s be objective about the shooting.
I’m not sure you are, TBH. Just my opinion.
Both are great player and going to be very good or great in the NBA.
