Thank you Kristian Fulton

It's rare nowadays to see a young adult take ownership of his situation, battle through adversity, and come out on the other side with such positivity. It would have been easy for him to bolt after last season to seek a payday in the NFL. It would have been easy for him to transfer when the "sentence" came down. But he stuck it out and for that I am thankful. Thank you Kristian for being a true Tiger!

So is Jrue one of the "+players"? If he is not, how do Jrue and Morant coexist? Because I don't think Jrue is what you really want at the two if Morant is your PG. Now I'll give you this...if Jrue is a part of whatever and you get Morant and Williamson, it's not ideal IMO but it's a decent start for a rebuild.

I see a Larry Johnson type player in Williamson. Now, is Davis his Alonzo Mourning? And will Williamson hold up physically as Johnson did not? When all is said and done, Williamson/ the #1 draft pick is a huge asset this franchise did not have at the beginning of the day. Options are a plenty. Let's see how it plays out.

How big was Emmitt Smith in high school? 5-8 190? Size isn't all it's cracked up to be sometimes (insert pun here).
I get your point, and those made by others along those same lines. But I always come back to this thought...is it the CEO's fault if his managers suck or, better said, underperform?

Not necessarily, but as the old adage goes, the buck stops with him. Who is your 2nd or 3rd in command? Are they worth a darn?

What about the managers, or in this case, the players? Did you hire well? Did you put those managers in a position to succeed?

But these are kids, you may say, and thus this analogy is inappropriate.

Perhaps, but the point is the best leaders hire the best and bring out the best in those under them.

Personally, I don't see that with Jones.

And trust me, I wish I did. At some point though, you cannot deny what you see with your own eyes, no matter how much you wish it weren't true.
Seems pretty simple to me...did he sign that contract or not? If he signed, especially if it was still an open ended contract, that's his problem. And he's pretty stupid for doing so. If he is somehow able to win this after signing said contract, then I guess all contracts everywhere are null and void and chaos reigns. Somehow I doubt this is the case. Suck it Trebek, er I mean, Chief.

Not just no, hell no!

Head case. Questionable character (going back to USC days...rape accusations just don't materialize for no reason...if nothing else it reeks of bad judgement).

When we grabbed Brees from San Diego, remember what his reputation was. There may have been questions about his health, his arm, his size, but never his intelligence or his character.

QBs are more than just arms and bodies. They are leaders; they can inspire those around them to be better; they make those around them better.

Can you honestly look at Sanchez amd say that? Do you think Brees, Payton, or the front office have this magical ability to transform Sanchez in this way?

I think not.
Yes he's an attention whore. Yes he's a cheater. Yes he has targeted certain inner cities in the past. Bottom line, he's a good coach and a damn good recruiter. Just look at who he got at Tennessee.

Will he make Auburn a contender and steal our recruits? It is clearly too soon to make any judgements like that.

But if you think his hiring doesn't negatively affect our basketball program's success, even a little bit, you're fooling yourself. He's good and Auburn got themselves a damn good coach.

In closing, when he was at tennessee and my UT cousin was talking smack, I used to say this to him...Pearl reminds me of Dale Brown. Excellent recruiter. Excellent promoter. Excellent motivator. Questionable coaching ability.
