Yeah, I mean I'm not a Monty apologist or anything but I don't think I'd pin this loss on him. The worst part about not calling the timeout is that Monty is usually pretty solid at drawing up plays out of the timeout.

Avery was great in Dallas, only reason he was run out was because our Hornets handled em in the playoffs.

No head coach was getting anywhere near .500 with that garbage Nets roster he inherited.

He's a NOLA native and knows the game.

No, I don't either. But maybe I was the only one screaming to call a timeout off that o rebound. frick, we were down 1 with 17 seconds. I think the team kind of panicked. We ended up with a Aminu fricking jump shot. Yes, if it goes in, perfect. I was still screaming at the TV. A timeout there was the right call.

Son, do yourself a favor and educate on what ORating means.

The Pelicans increased their rating after playing Bulls team that is a top 5 defense in the NBA. That is doing work.

The Aminu jumper is what we got the rebound off of.

I don't think so. I think he had the last shot on that possession.

Oh, i didn't even look at what it was. Idk if the O Rating improved or not, but our ORtg better be up there, because we've got the 7th worst D Rtg in the league. We are 8th in points per game though.

You can just find the play by play in a box score. Trust me I'm right it's not really worth looking up.

If I had, I would have put Evans back in the game for Smiht.

I don't have a problem with not wanting to call a timeout. People want Monty to let them play, well he was going to do so. I also wouldn't want to give Carlisle a chance to set his guys up.

I don't see the need to blame someone or one sequence for this loss. It was a tight game. Our guys were exhausted and couldn't buy a bucket, but they fought like hell v a good Mavs team.

I'm not blaming Monty for the loss. Usually I would. You know I've said this month will tell us about Monty's fate. We are 3 games in and we're 2-1. Should be 3-0.

I just think every other coach in the league woulda called one to set a play or two up. If I'm a coach and I'm worrying about the other coach is gonna out coach me by letting him set up a defense, then I have no confidence in what I do.

I think it was a terrific effort by the team. I can't blame Monty for the loss. Tonight was one of those times that shite just didn't break our way. If anyone is expecting anything beyond a slightly above .500 season, they should run for mayor of Toronto.
