I'm somewhat surprised, but I think it's for the best long term. But I also don't think that they would fire Monty Tom Thibodeau wasn't available. Just please don't hire Mark Jackson.

Monty has said multiple times that Loomis is the one that decides his fate. Woj said there was a power struggle and Demps pushed Monty out. I'm guessing having a team good enough to go toe to toe with anyone in the league but also being capable of getting rolled by the tank brigade made Demps look good and Monty look bad.
