With 12 games left they're almost tied with Milwaukee in win percentage. GS is 3 1/2 games back and Detroit is 5 games back, Where do you predict Minnesota will finish?

Minny games left
@ Kings 18-34 L
Warriors 20-31 L
@ New Orleans 13-40 L
Phoenix 26-26 L
@ Nuggets 29-24 L
LAC 31-21 L
OKC 40-12 L
@ Indy 31-21 L
Memphis 28-22 L
@ Detroit 19-33
Warriors 20-31
Denver 29-24

10th would maybe be a best case realistic scenario.

Probably 10th, unless the Wolves drop nearly all their remaining games and the Warriors win 2-3 more besides their games against the Wolves.

I feel like those are almost guaranteed losses. They could surprise with a win here or there but they could also be surprised by teams like us. We will see.

i'm kinda tossed about Saturday's game...is it better for a Hawnets or Wolves win?

I think Wolves winning is better in the race for the best chance with the ping pong balls, Quail.

But I am sick of us talking about the better losing scenarios. Can't wait till we don't hear the word tank again

no i agree 100%. but the reason i ask is that i think Minny losing may be better. i really believe the wizards are going to win more down the stretch than us.

but ill be happy next season when everyone on here gets upset when we lose.

I think we root for a Minny win against us. Top 3 pick or bust.

If I see anyone in the Arena cheering for Minny next week I will shove one of my extra Peja Heads up their arse. Just saying.

You're a bright fellow. Why would you not realize the importance of maximizing our chances to get the one franchise-changer in the draft?

An extra 4% chance of getting Anthony Davis is definitely worth losing an otherwise meaningless game in April.

I'm just not wired to cheer or hope for my team to lose.

If it happens, and it has a lot this season ( ) I don't feel as bad as I would normally though.

I am probably as close to you will find to a true hornets die hard fan as any. I love the game of basketball. Love playing it, love watching it. I can't wait till we stop talking about these scenarios and start talking about playoff scenarios next season

I'm bright enough to know that the recent history of the NBA lottery does not suggest that the difference between worst and third worst means shite. Peruse the previous ten years.

BTW, don't be surprised if T Rob eats Davis' lunch tonight.

ETA: I had to come back and bold my statement above.

See your point, but quite honestly, the last 10 years mean nothing. Each year stands alone statistically, so the more combinations, statistically the better chance.

Are you suggesting that TRob is a better prospect than Davis?

We need to beat minny, they need to get into the bottom ten

I know. I took graduate level statistics. Nevertheless . . . it is what it is.

I'm suggesting tonight's game could be veeerrrryyyy interesting? Would I still pick Davis? Probably because of his length. But I think Robinson is going to be a real star.
