Should have lowered lottery odds and given that percentage to every other team

It's because Cuban came out and actively said they were tanking.
Wonder if anything happens with Portland or Utah.

I didn't see the quotes but I saw people referencing quotes from Kidd and others. Basically they were open about it was the difference.

Kidd basically said they received order from their GM and owner to tank. And they trust the process and whatever decisions that comes down from the top.
The last guy that was open about tanking? Hinke who was made an example and has been quietly blacklisted by the league.
The NBA doesn't have an issue with tanking. But they do not want teams to openly admit it. The same thing with tampering. They don't care as long as you're not obvious about it.

that's so stupid. Who cares? you know what they were doing, and we all know what Utah was doing when they decided to not play a healthy Markannen and Kessler the last 4 games, with one of them against OKC who they absolutely wanted to lose to, on top of the fact that they made that bullshite trade with the Lakers at the trade deadline.
If that's not obvious tanking, i don't know what is. And i don't have a problem with it, but it's beyond stupid to punish the Mavs for this when everyone else does it, regardless if they are open about it or not.
