Very good answers, thank you. Agree he's a 10-12 minute guy playing too many crucial minutes. Great observations from you baws.

all this talk about Naji and his defense.

Y'all do realize that Naji is shooting 37% from 3 this year and 79% from the FT line.
On drives to the basket he has a higher FG%, higher assist rate, lower turnover rate, and scores just as frequently as Zion does.
He also has the highest NetRtg on the team in the clutch this year, and is one of 2 players that aren't in the negative in that stat.

Don't scoff at Naji's offense.

Yes he's a roll player, but he's a damn good one, and i hope we are able to bring him back next year.
He's capable of playing and defending 1-4, and that is a luxury to have someone be able to do that off the bench or to step into a starting role sparingly and do that effectively for the most part.

No one in the NBA thinks Naji fricking Marshall moves the fricking needle outside of New Orleans

It seems like some of youkeep wanting to to tinker with the roster until it’
“perfect”. Not happening , and impulse moves are almost always a mistake.

Keeping role guys/bench guys way too long is also almost always a mistake especially when it takes away development time from younger better players. The whole point of improving your roster is to make it “perfect.”

Imagine a GM saying I don’t want to move guys because the roster would be “too perfect.” By the way this is Naji Marshall- anywhere from the 8th-9th guy on your roster. These guys get moved all the time- we’re not talking about Zion or BI here.

Personally I think Naji gives the “body blows” defensively to the opposing teams best wing offensive player to wear him down for the end of the game.

So I think he brings physicality, defense, energy off the bench that is needed. He can also step up and play big minutes when a normal starter is out.
