They will heavily consider getting Doc if they can.
Otherwise it’ll be a much longer wait. They will make roster moves and trades before making the hire.

So this tells me they've done preliminary Zoom interviews and have narrowed down the candidates they want to interview further

Not much.
Just that they have "started" and will only do face to face interviews with 2-3 people. This likely tells us that we had a much larger list, likely did "unofficial" Zoom interviews with a ton of people, and have narrowed it down.

That has always been the case. Lopez does a reasonably good job. I love how Kushner gives no fricks and holds the franchise's feet to the fire.
