Most teams have a President and a GM. I think Dell has more decision-making authority than some of you are making it sound. Loomis was just put into a difficult situation with Dell and Monty not getting along. I fully believe Dell will get to choose who he wants as the next HC. Loomis may have veto power but I think he will defer to Dell.

That makes him more dangerous, imo.

As far as AD, that doesn't bother me. If he isn't already over it, he will be when we hire a new coach.

AD basically said in his end of year interview session that he really likes Monty but that he would understand if the team decided to go in another direction.

As far as Loomis' role, I really think he is first and foremost at $$ guy. I think Dell runs his player decisions by him and he decides whether the $ will work. Loomis' job is for NOLA not to dig themselves into a salary black hole.

There's no way they didn't talk to AD before this happened. He's the number one priority. I know he's not making the decision, but I'm sure they asked for his input.

Why would Dell say that in his press conference and throw AD under the bus. They def don't want to make it look like AD got him fired, so of course they are going to say they didn't talk to him ahead of time, but I don't buy it at all.

Definitely think he was consulted. All they said was that he was found out he was let go after it happened. Doesn't mean he was unaware they were considering firing him.
