Or you could just be realistic a see that the kings wanted to keep Fox and deal Haliburton. Which is what happened.
Might as well have said we could have had Jimmy Butler and Bam but we got Lance and CJ instead. We were never getting Fox so it doesn't matter.
Also, getting Cj and Larry was a good trade. Not being able to get another player doesn't make the trade you did make a bad deal.

The difference is the Kings may have been the HEALTHIEST team in the NBA this season. 10 players with over 65 games played.

The difference is the Kings may have been the HEALTHIEST team in the NBA this season. 10 players with over 65 games played. The top 6 in their rotation all played over 72 games. That makes such a huge difference. In this age of the NBA, those games played give you a huge advantage. And then the way they RUN and play fast. That synergy is so hard to contain. Which is why they were the best offense in the league.
All we know is if we got that amount of games played from our players, we would be an absolutely different team.

I don’t know the exact specifics of it anymore, tried to look back through my text messages to find it, but it involved Philly + Ben Simmons. Not sure what the Pelicans were giving up but I would assume it would’ve been similar to the CJ deal plus some more picks maybe.
But I was able to pull something from Bleacher report that had aggregated some reports talking about Fox trades and stuff from Philly:

Believe it, don’t believe it, I don’t care. I’m fairly certain there was a Woj tweet talking about Fox and New Orleans/Philly too when the Sabonis deal, but I’m not scrolling through Woj tweets to find something from 15 months ago.
