Who said he was? You act like he's some scrub that has little to no value on this squad.

I’m not doubting Richardson I like the trade. Gets us off some really bad money next year and upgrades the rotation at zero real cost. It’s the kind of trade that we needed

hart keeps getting traded though because of his contract not because of his play

While true, it's mainly the wingspan I wonder about.

I think when it comes to it, it alleviates a logjam at the 1 (Cj, Jose, Kira, Graham, dyson) to create a logjam at the 2/3 where I think odd man is Naji unfortunately.

Another angle on the Richardson acquisition, is the fact that he can easy the pain when BI sits out. I think he would start when BI is out and allow Trey to continue coming off the bench.

JRich went out for better players

No doubt. Boston wanted White, who was a marginal upgrade in general but also fit their team better- they wanted more of a ballhandler to go along with good defense to take some of the offensive initiation workload.

Richardson is good enough teams can use him but not good enough that they won't try to upgrade over him if the time comes. Other guys in this range of player are Josh Hart and Seth Curry- all are clear rotation players at the NBA level, but they each have unique strengths and weaknesses that may leave some teams thinking they need to trade them to improve their overall team construction.

Josh Hart was a good fit for the Pels back when we had really poor wing depth and lacked toughness/rebounding- now he would be redundant to the young guys we have. Nothing against him, but his particular skills are better maximized on another team.

Great point. Guys like JR and Hart are good players that every team would like but you're not gonna let him hold up a trade for a guy you want
