Would you do Solo and 4 for 8, 10, and the Nets 2020 first round pick? Knowing you can still trade a first round pick for a decent vet and have over 20 mil in Free Agency. Also, you have two first round picks next year.

4th pick has a much better chance of sticking & future star potential. By the time you get to #8 or #10, then you are starting to roll the dice. Picks for the sake of more picks does not necessarily help us, especially this year.

I posted this yesterday, but i don't think anyone read it:

Little history on the last 10 years, since we are heavily looking at trading back with Atlanta.

#4 dating back to 2009
2009 Tyreke
2010 Wesley Johnson
2011 Tristan Thompson
2012 Dion Waters
2013 Cody Zeller
2014 Aaron Gordon
2015 Porzingis
2016 Dragan Bender
2017 Josh Jackson
2018 Jaren Jackson

Whole lot of meh in there.

A few good players from 9-13 dating back to 2009
2009 DeRozan #9
2010 Hayward #9 Paul George #10
2011 Kemba #9 Klay #11
2012 Drummond #9
2013 McCollum #10 Steven Adams #12
2014 Lavine #13
2015 Myles Turner #11 Booker #13
2016 Poltl #9 Sabonis #11
2017 Donovan Mitchell #13
2018 SGA #11

Point here is there's obviously some really good players that we can get at 8 or 10, or even 11. Seems to be really boom or bust in that area. You either get a really good player, or a dud.

Brooklyn's 2020 pick will be somewhere between 15 & 20. I know experts agree that next year's draft class is deeper, but by how much? Will 15 - 20 yield as talented a player as the ones available at #4 this year? If scouts say no, then I pass. If yes, then I go for it.

Garland had more turnovers than assists before he got injured. I love him as a prospect, but I wouldn't bet money on Griffin valuing him enough to select him.

If you trade 4 for 8 and 10, it’s possible Culver is still there at 8. Hawks want Reddish from all reports

Hawks would be moving up FOR Culver... they want Reddish at 8, and there is legitimately no one else even seriously considering him inside the top 7, so they wouldn't have to move up to get Reddish...
Zion, Morant, Barrett, Garland, Culver, Hunter and White will be the top 7... which order has yet to be determined, but Reddish isn't going before any of these names...

Might as well draft best player available at four for depth. None of the Pelican's current guards outside of Jrue are that great to pass up a player. You can always trade later.
