Every night, that dude shows up and plays hard. Pels are lucky to have him.

The hate he gets is ridiculous. He’s a great teammate and contract to the team for what he gives us.

This was great to see in the locker room after the game last night and JV’s 11,000th point.

Such a good group that we have. Superb team chemistry

He's a markedly better defensive player this season AND we are playing through him more offensively.

My beef with JV was always with his utilization. Now that we are utilizing him, he's definitely worth his contract. Plus, his defensive play tends to get better the more he is involved on offense. So it's a win-win.

There will still be times he can't stay on the court, but those times are fewer this season.

I watched some of the Mavs broadcast and they were slobbering over him in the 4th qtr, calling him the big red oak (fitting due to jersey color). They were also complaining how the Mavs don't have anyone with the size to play against JV. He played his heart out last night.

I have noticed he's a much better defender this year than last year.

He is one of six active players with 11k+ points and 7500+ rebounds, joining LeBron James, Russell Westbrook, Kevin Love, Al Horford, and Nikola Vucevic. JV is the 74th player in NBA history to reach those numbers.

Yep, JV catches too much shite.
There’s no reasonable trade deal that would be a net gain for the Pels. And nobody works harder.

Jonas has become my favorite player on this team this year. And in many ways, I think this team’s ceiling is largely Jonas determined.

Without really appreciating the future cap implications, I hope the Pels can keep Jonas around another year or two. He brings a needed professionalism and toughness to the roster.

I'll say the same thing I said on the last JV appreciation thread...He's been the most reliable dude on the team and almost always affects the game in a positive way.

Difficult back to back game with travel situation, CJ, Zion, BI, and Trey all sit for rest. Not JV! You can always expect the guy to show up and be ready to play.
