JMO...Not a bad loss and especially so when it seems

some of up & coming players seemed to step up & show some improvement. As long as I see improvement, IN SOME AREA...I don't consider it a bad game
Daniels...seemed to me he looked much more "comfortable" out there today, than he has for the past several games. Still seems just a bit slow at times, like he may be thinking too much before doing something but that might just be because he's a bit "stiff" or robot-like with his movements and hopefully this will improve as the game slows down for him.
Herb...seems to be getting better at finishing at the hoop. Really no need to even comment on his defense any more...other than to say it's steady and top 5 for a wing defender, maybe even top 2.
Nance...good to see him have a solid game. Gonna be really important come playoff time.
Murphy...not a great game but seems to be getting a tad more creative...on the offensive end. Would luv to see a bit more D...but hopefully it'll eventually start to come.
Bottom line...a loss...but a quite beneficial one, for certain players, who need to be showing improvement.

It's a bad loss when you entered the game having lost 8 of your last 11 and were leading at the half.

There's clearly two camps here. Those who are looking at this game by game....and those looking at the losing streak as a whole. Idk I feel like I'm in the later. You need to get at least one of these guys on the court soon. Or you take this whole season out of your hands.

I'm sick of moral victories with this franchise. We opened this season with the goal of competing in the west.
And before people jump down my throat about 2 important dudes being out, I get it, but to act like today and this month haven't been frustrating is ignorant as frick.

This month has been frustrating because they haven’t been playing defense. We finally saw some effort on that end today and it made a world of difference. The turnovers are killing us, but that’s where you’re really missing BI and Zion and asking too many players to play above their heads.
Herb being back and Larry finally starting to look right has played a big role in the improved defense. As much as none of y’all want to hear excuses, the Pels lost their 2 best glue guys in Herb and Larry and are still missing the cornerstones in Z and BI. There’s a reason they got blown out at home less than a week ago and just fell short today.
I don’t consider it a moral victory, but I do feel the team is on more solid ground now than it was a week ago. Fingers crossed we get BI back soonish and Zion not long after.

The team is gonna fall to the bottom of the playoff race before BI and Zion make it back. Everyone talks about how shite the lakers are and we are only 4 games better than them.

Who the hell is not frustrated? Are you kidding me? We’re all frustrated as hell waiting for guys to get back and having the losses mounting up. It doesn’t mean we need to lose all perspective and act like not having BI and Zion out isn’t the primary reason we are losing. Give me one team in this league that could lose their two best players and not start losing games (and by the way we weren’t down 2 key guys today, we were down 3, because Naji is huge for this team especially with Zion and BI out). Just because people want to keep some semblance of perspective doesn’t make them “ignorant as frick.” It makes them realistic as to what our situation is.

In the first half, yes.
Still gave up 59 2nd half points.

Assuming BI & Zion return, we'll be somewhere around 4 or 5 come playoff time with a decent chance vs anybody we play.. If they don't return, we have no shot at beating anybody in the playoffs, assuming we even make the playoffs.
In the meantime, we need to get several players to improve their game...and this window without BI & Zion, is the perfect opportunity to get that done. Today was a solid "improvement" game, win or lose. I'd rather win, of course, but the main thing is to improve...mission accomplished, at least today.
By the way...watching the Suns & they are gonna be hard to handle...by playoff time...forget their current record.

Even with the proper perspective.
Today was still a bad loss. We went from a 16 point 1st half lead to a 6-point lead in under a minute because we turned the ball over 5 straight possessions.
I don't care who is out with injury, that shouldn't happen.

Jose continues to under perform. Not sure if he’s still feeling his rib injury, or this was a bad matchup since Miami is relatively long. The length bothering him is what it felt like to me and that is concerning. If he can be neutralized in certain matchups, we don’t really have an alternative other than more Dyson minutes.

Jose just seems to be trying to be more than what he is. Maybe it's the ribs, maybe it's the fact that we need someone to score, but he is simply not a scorer.
He's shooting under 40% from the field since December, yet is on par with Jonas in FG attempts in that span.
He needs to go back to just being the nuisance/energy guy.

Yep, the last two minutes of the first half were brutal. No one is denying that I wouldn’t think. We also managed to get up 16 points on a team that absolutely blew our doors off a week ago and had all their best players available. The loss sucks, but I’m not going to bad mouth this team for today’s performance. You’re doing that enough for both of us anyway.

Let me ask you a question? If we started this season with a team that didn’t include BI and Zion would you have still had a “goal of competing in the West.” Clearly we were very much competing in the West until we lost both of them. What did you think would happen when our best two players were out?? That we would continue to win at a 65% clip? That we would play .500 ball??

Not lose 9 of our last 12, especially with all the talk of how deep we were.
Once Zion went down, everyone was saying they'd be fine if we went .500 this month. That ain't happening.

If it were just BI and Zion I could maybe agree. But there have been injuries to other key people as well (Nance, Naji and Herb; CJ sat out a game; and its arguable Jose is still really banged up). This stretch also includes our longest road trip of the season. Unfortunately I think 3-9 isn’t all that shocking considering all of this. I’ll ask again: what team in this league could thrive losing their best two players for three plus weeks?

The Lakers have a weaker roster than us, have been without AD and without Lebron for parts as well. They've put together a better record.

They have not gone more than a game or two without BOTH Toni or LeBron. That’s absolutely false. Try again.

*sigh* ok guy.
You're right, you saw this 3-9 record coming all along. May as well go ahead and enlighten us all how the rest of the season goes.
