Latest on AD: that left ankle is swelling significantly. The @PelicansNBA will know more after they see how the plane ride back to Nola affects that ankle. MRI scheduled already for tomorrow.

Wouldn't be mad at all if we sat him Friday. We still got a long way to go. No need to play him against an East team if he's not ready to go.

I'm gonna give it a day or so before I start worrying. Obviously it's a case by case thing, but I once rolled my ankle playing basketball and my ankle swole up to the size of a softball. I had to use crutches the next day because it was still pretty swolen, but better. Then I woke up the following day and was completely fine.

Remember tyreke's ankle literally hit the floor and they talked he'd be out like 2 weeks and it was swollen HUGE.

Missed what, 2 games?

I mean he heals vastly faster than AD, but I'd still think keeping him out vs Washington and possibly even Utah if its still not near 100%. would make sense honestly.

The injuries on this team are unreal. Sucks to think where we’d be without them.

Utah game is crucial. I can understand sitting him Friday, Sunday he needs to play. Hopefully he’s good tomorrow and we dont even need to discuss this

He rolled it but not all the way.

Should be ok, but how quickly is an unknown. They need to slap a badass boot on it, etc. Get him ready.

I mean it is crucial, but they're arguably the 2nd or 3rd hottest team right now. The game is a 50/50 with AD, but it all depends on how bad it is.

I know conference record and tiebreakers matter, but having him healthy down the stretch is more important

But they still have to play Houston twice, Golden State, , Celtic @Cleveland,@ SA, and some other tough games. Pels get Utah at home and it’s a very winnable game. The others are tougher.

This.

Dropping a game or two or three isn't ideal, but it's 1000x better than aggravating an injury and turning it from a minor injury to something that he has to deal with for the rest of the season.

Both AD and the staff have a responsibility to the player and the team. Pels players and staff have botched several injuries already (jrue) by letting players play when they shouldn't.
