You're going to fit in just fine with the Karl crowd.

That thing the wizards were doing last night.

Not a Karl fan and the defense thing was sarcasm.

Yeah, while our "defensive guy" was on the bench. Smh

I somewhat understand what Monty was trying to do...I think....
but, an unspaced floor with Jimmer and Asik is probably better than a spaced floor with Rivers and Ajinca.

I don't think most of us are Karl fans, he's just the best known decent choice that we know is interested in the job.

With Davis here I don't think its going to be hard to find high quality candidates that are interested.

True, but it's really hard for fans to have an intelligent conversation about it. There just isn't much information out there. I googled Bickerstaff and saw where he interviewed with the Pistons, but that's it for the low hanging fruit. If Boom is correct then he's had 4 or 5 HC interviews which does put him in a tier of up and coming assistant.

At this point, it's not even about being a Karl fan. It's about being sick and tired of bad defensive teams with a defensive coach and above average defenders.

If we're going by interviews then our next hire will be Elston turner or Patrick Ewing.
I'm pretty sure Elston turner has interviewed for every opening in the last 3 years.

I definitely get that, I'm sure the Phrase "definsive minded coach" gives people the chills here.
They aren't all like Monty though
I wouldn't mind an offensive minded guy but the offense, as ugly as it is, isnt't really a problem. When this team consistently defends they are damn near unbeatable.

4-5 interviews suggest he's been on the HC track for at least a few years. If he had only had one interview I'd assume he wasn't ready for consideration yet.

I googled 4 or 5 articles last night about top assistants. Bickerstaff came up. One of Thibs' top assistants in Chicago came up a lot. Adrian Griffin. Thibs seems really really high on him, but you read his bio and its literally a carbon copy of Monty's before he got here.
This year's NBA GM survey from nba.com:
Who is the best assistant coach in the NBA?
1. Alvin Gentry, Golden State -- 17.9%
2. Adrian Griffin, Chicago -- 7.1%
Tyronn Lue, Cleveland -- 7.1%
Ettore Messina, San Antonio -- 7.1%
Mike Woodson, L.A. Clippers -- 7.1%
Gentry would probably be an ok, low risk hire. The Italian guy from San Antonio is interesting to me. Would be a Blatt-type of move, but Pop really likes him and let him coach a game this year.
Sorry, but I can't take Lue seriously
The memories of this are still too vivid:

I'd love to see this team run d'antoni's offense. We can't get much worse defensively right?

Yea I was just messing, an article i read about Bickerstaff said that most felt it was only a matter of time before he landed a high profile job.
Adrian Griffin came up a lot among top assistants.

I'd Honestly almost rather D'antoni over Karl. look what he did for Stoudemire, imagine what he could do for AD.
