Although I am still on the fence about renewing, I wouldn't hesitate if that was offered. In fact, I was a little disappointed in that when purchasing TWO seats for this season I had only received ONE $75 concession card. Something about it one per account, not seat. Ummm, hello? There is a hungry person sitting in EACH seat!

It really doesn’t make sense. If you had a separate account per ticket, you’d get double the free stuff like the STH only items and concession gift card. They need to lessen the pursestrings a little to keep people around for next year.

Really? That's kind of shitty.

The reps are usually great. With the whole switch to seat geek last year they accidentally over charged me about $40 thst turned into a autographed AD ball and court side seats for a T’wolves game. It was well worth the extra $40

I agree. I was shocked when I found that out. The explanation I got was that attendance was weaker in the beginning of the season, so the card incentivizes people to come. I reminded her that I had season tickets, so the tickets are already paid for which incentivizes me to come.

I have been a season ticket holder since the very first day they had signups for tickets when the Hornets moved here. I have had so many reps, I have lost count. I honestly think they do an OK job at best. I am disappointed at what little they offer to the season ticket holders (and it is worse now than in the Shinn days). Also, whenever I have to ask for something, I am made to feel like they are doing something illegal when they oblige.

I still have around $60 on my concession card. I'm going to get hammered at some random game in March.

My card expired on Dec 31 - check the back of your card.

I agree that there's certainly been less things than the Shinn days, but I have a great relationship with my rep. He's handled our account for 5+ years now and always goes out of his way to make sure we are having a good experience.

Got this today:

Good Morning Pels Fans,
Later this week we are soft launching renewals, with invoices to hit in the mail and online in 1-2 weeks after. As we approach the final stretch of our season, I want to reach out to see if there are any questions you have regarding your seats.
This looks to be a good year to relocate and/or upgrade your seats…whether that is into seats that are a higher cost or staying with your same cost but improving the location.
While it can be tough to hear everyone’s feedback over the phone or at games, I want to make sure I’m providing the best service possible and giving myself the best chance to get you your ideal seats. Keep in mind, the feedback you provide will give you the best opportunity to get the seats you want for next season (2019-2020).
Please send me a quick email with your thoughts on next year, and I will save your email accordingly (maybe you found your home in the Smoothie King Center and are fine with your same seats – that’s great!). I will start my renewal calls Thursday & beyond to follow up.
As a reminder, I am here to be a resource for you and to continuously improve your experience. I look forward to hearing from you soon!
Go Pels!

Got same exact email from my rep. Interesting that they are doing a "soft renewal." Almost like they are testing the market to see how bad this is going to be.

I don't understand that, when we first had concession cards I thought it was great and for the season, then the last week of December learned it's calendar year. I was ordering double doubles at the last December game. It's gotta be intentional to trick people into leaving money on the card.

Pelicans Family,

This email should look familiar to most of you veterans. However, if this is your first season, please read carefully. As we approach the final stretch in our season, I want to reach out to see if there are any questions you have regarding your seats.

As I have done each of the last 6 seasons, I am creating a document for each account that I oversee regarding your seating preferences.

For example, Jrue Holiday may have told me he wants to move from Section 114, Row 23, to more midcourt and lower in Section 113, Row 15. Or Frank Jackson wants to go from Full Season in the 300 level to half Season in the 100 level. I will then make the note to get a head start for when we flip the switch to next year’s seating inventory. It is likely that renewals for 2018-2019 will launch later next week. This is when I will see what new seats might be available.

While it can be tough to hear everyone’s feedback over the phone or at games, I want to make sure I’m providing the best service possible and giving myself the best chance to get you your ideal seats. Keep in mind the feedback you provide will give you the best opportunity to get the seats you want for next season (2019-2020).

Please send me a quick email with your thoughts on next year, and I will make the notes accordingly (maybe you found your home in the Smoothie King Center and are fine with your same seats – that’s great!). I will be making some calls next week & beyond to follow up.

As a reminder, I am here to be a resource for you and to continuously improve your experience. I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Geaux Pels!

This was my email I received. Somewhat personalized by comparison but still in part generic.

This should be interesting . I bet they are justifiably panicked about renewals. All they can hope is to maintain as many of us as best they can. No one new will be clamoring for new season tickets after how this joke of a season has panned out. Unless the prices drop or serious perks are given.

I had already emailed my rep with scathing observations I’ve experienced unrelated to the product on the floor. This was literally 2 days before the AD situation happened. He was very apologetic and seems like a good guy , but I didn’t take him up on his response to “make it right”.

It’s a buyers market , my friends.

I took my little girl to her 1st ever Pelicans game tonight ... My wife and I took her and other sister (we acquired 2 other tickets aside from our own season ticket pair). This was her FIRST game ever. I promised her we would go to the store after the game and she was so excited to buy team merchandise. A shirt , a jersey , and beads . Immediately when the game ended, my wife took her and sister to the bathroom (101 club level) and we walked right out and down the stairs . It’s only 7:25pm on a Saturday night at this point and we are denied entry into the team store. They aren’t allowing anyone else into the open store. I have pictures and timestamps to prove this. This is UNACCEPTABLE. There were literally 50 other people right behind us trying to get into the store as well . Including fans from Australia (so I overheard). The game wasn’t even over a full 10-15 minutes at this point . This is NOT... I repeat THIS IS NOT a good look for a team and a franchise trying to build a following and a fan base with a losing record. And at the same time trying to maintain current season ticket holders. I want to speak directly with someone in management, whether it be the team or arena. This is 100% unacceptable.

Here you go since you asked... just one example and the latest example of in arena experience since you asked...
and yes I admit this is TRULY minuscule in the big picture and it’s unrelated to product on the floor... but it’s sort of a microcosm of what’s going on.

It’s now maybe little bigger deal in light of all which has since transpired with the AD situation. Why should fans and ticket holders give a damn if this is how we’re treated?

This was one submission/complaint to my rep. This was the Spurs game just just just before AD and his crew came out with their statement. I’m actually glad we were denied entry because I’d have bought her some AD shirt and I was planning on buying new AD Mardi Gras jersey — which would have been a complete waste.

Disclaimer: I have not received and was not looking to receive any retribution. He offered and I did not accept. That wasn’t the point of my complaint. I was simply pointing out this was a very bad look on the organization because the arena experience is very much an extension of the team. I truly wanted them to know what I experienced and what others around me did. Look, I’m in, I’m a Pels guy. Don’t worry about me. I’ll be there this Saturday and Monday (I’m off work). But they need to prove to new fans and causal fans that they give a damn. I want this organization to succeed and succeed here in New Orleans.

If you check your account manager on Pelicans.com, the invoice is there for next year's renewals. No details on incentives, prize calendar, discounts for early renewals, or seating chart with prices as in prior years. Seems very odd that they just post the invoice and do not send out the email with the flyer advertising these items.

Anyone have any updates about incentives they've been offered to renew? I haven't had time to make that phone call yet, so just curious if anyone has received anything particularly enticing.

Just had a woman call me (had season tickets in the past, but not this season).

She left a message saying the she was from the Pelicans front office and to call her back asap on her direct line lol.

Looked up the number and it is a ticket rep, but her message didn't say anything about tickets. I guess that's their strategy for getting people to call them back?

It's pretty shifty incentives. A bobble head, free parking for six games, and a concession card as low as $25 where as last year the floor was set at $75. And a beach towel, big whoop. Not that enticing considering I get free parking already and don't give a crap about bobble heads.

From the email my rep sent at 10:30 this morning:

quote:

invoices should hit via mail in the next week or 2, but I have access to them at games. Stop by my table (114 tonight) and I can print yours for you…PRICES ARE NOT GOING UP!!!!! - Full Season only- Renew by 3/8 for a Jrue Holliday bobblehead - Full Season only- Renew by 3/24 and get either $60 off your parking pass if you get one or the first 6 games free parking if you don’t purchase a parking pass - Full Season only- Renew by 4/9 for a concession gift card (amount based on your spend) and guarantee your seat location - Full Season only- Renew by 6/20 for Pelicans Squad 6 Summer swag bag of beach gifts My 2 cents: Tough year so far no doubt but the last few weeks have shown us that we have a nice core of young players looking to step up and be confident role players (if not more) moving forward. You can’t deny that we’ve been fun to watch the last 3 weeks or so. Nothing gets you better than actual playing time and meaningful minutes. Jackson, Williams, Diallo, and Okafor will be key cogs to next year’s team. Holliday will be back and I’m sure we’ll have a good chance at signing Randle. Then comes the elephant in the room…we will be adding a nice assortment of players and or draft picks to that squad as well via THE trade. On top of all that we will have significant cap room to sign 1 or 2 quality veterans. The last thing you want to do is not be back next year. We will have a new GM and outline for developing and building our team to survive long term, this is going to be a new Pelicans look, unlike anything we’ve seen the past 7 seasons. I’m in, and not because I’m an employee…because I’m a fan and because this is MY team in My city
