What does this mean in your mind? Like is it black or white for you?

I wouldn't say I'm writing him off in that he can be a useful player when healthy, but I think it's fair to conclude he isn't the messiah that was promised, which is kind of a problem because all of our eggs went into that basket.

Like I said, he gave you 70 games last year. That's a marked improvement. If he gives you 70 plus this year in better starting shape (which he is) and can stay healthy we can absolutely go on a run with him being the number one option.

It's just early. And the med staff is being Uber cautious (which is fair too)

And missed the playoffs... on top of not playing at an all star level.

You can keep saying this until you're blue in the face, it's not making the point that you think it's making. In fact, it only raises more questions for Zion. Like I said, it's becoming apparent he's not the messiah that was promised.

Except it's not with Zion... it's year 6

It's an improvement over his games played. No one thought he would play 60. And he played 70.

He wasn't elite last year, but he was towards the end, and he's in better starting shape now than he was November of last year.

Well no shite, but he can go on a run. He's done that before. It's a matter of him actually being able to do it in April that's eluded him, but him playing 70 games last year tells me it isn't impossible for him to make it a little further this year.

It's early this year. Why does him playing 70 games last year not count for anything?

No one said it doesn't. But why doesn't the way he played in those games count for you?

And you keep parading that out of one side of your mouth while also saying it's no big deal that he's missed three of the first ten games this year.

You can't have it both ways bawski.

I keep saying that he's in better starting shape this year. That's why I'm more optimistic about this season.

I never said it's no big deal. I've only ever said I understand the trepidation but it is early this season.

Is he though?

He's about to miss back to back games with tightness and soreness.

...but he's currently on pace to play in less than 70 games this year.

By qualifying the time of the year, you're literally saying it's no big deal

C'mon baw.

I've been screaming this for 3 years. You are forced to build a roster that only works with him for it to work with him. Then he misses half his career and you struggle to stay afloat until fit Zion finally shows up.

Dude has a loser mentality, and I want it gone.

Not a big deal vs not a big deal yet is a little different.

You're floundering more than Ochsner is with Zion's body.

Oschner has screwed up many things, but they get zero blame for Zion.

What do you really think he's capable of this season shel? Give me some tangible numbers, ignore games played.

Tell me what you think he's going to put up pts assists and rebs. And his fg%
Same as we always see, not as good as year 2 numbers.

23/7/5 on 56%from the field.

Good player, not top 10, not good enough to be a #1 on a legit team, not as good as year 2 Zion.

That's who he is. We should know that at this point.

Those 70 games are what proved Broski's you quoted correct.

He didn't even sniff All NBA and led us to the play in.

How did that prove anything other than we now know he is not the dude we thought we got on draft night?

I'm going off him being in better shape to start this year vs last year, having a real pg to make things easier too. Roster construction can make a difference difference.

He's also started this revenge year being lazy like the start of last season and not going all out on both sides of the ball like post AS break Zion last season.
