Has AD ever displayed a need for the attention and fanfare? If anything he seems like he doesn’t want the attention. He was trying to go play second fiddle to lebron as it was, for less money at that

He never displays leadership on the court either.

I’m trying to find exactly what the issue would be? He obviously cares about winning, why would he be upset with another stud

I think you're out of your mind if you don't think the majority of this fanbase would welcome AD back with open arms

It’s not about him having an ego that needs to be in the spotlight, but he was in the spotlight receiving all the attention that will now be going to people leas deserving of it than the “best player in the world”.

It’s just human nature to feel slighted in that situation. It’s kind of similar to why Eric Gordon can go to a new situation Houston and thrive in a lesser 6th man role but he half assed his time here as a starter that didn’t remain the face of the franchise he was once projected to be.

y’all heard Davis on that stupid lebrony infomercial
he’s the CEO now

i 100% believe he is leaving and that getting zion will make it even more likely that he leaves, not less. he would defer to Durant or lebrony but not to jrue or zion. We all thought he was David Robinson but he turned out to be something else entirely. I can’t think of another player (maybe Carmelo) who has accomplished less and taken no responsibility for it

Not at all..

I think AD sees that he is not, and cannot be a "leader" of a team.

It shows in that article someone posted the other day about him working out with Jrue, and he is trying to imitate everything Jrue does.

If he still decides to leave, it wont be because he wants to be a leader

The pushback from the fans are the SKC towards AD was already pretty mild when he came back after the trade deadline. Hell there were fans that still cheered him

Take a poll with people who have tickets, I bet the majority want him back. Casual message board guy, probably not

I don’t think the fans are the issue. It’s that the places Klutch wants AD to go so they can maximize their exploitation of him give him a clean slate with potentially as many Max level teammates to play with, none of whom are rookies. Whether NY or LA live up to what Klutch is selling is a different question entirely, but the easiest path forward for AD with a seemingly similar or better pay off is to leave.

IMO the only way AD stays is if Zion signs with Klutch and Klutch sees staying as a way to maximize both players.

agree completely
Davis is not going to defer to a rookie unless they are a package deal
