FWIW he gets 10,595 millions this year. So it is not 12 millions per se. Maybe with unlikely incentives which he wont get it is close to 12.
11,2 millions next year. 11.97 ( 3 guaranteed) the year after.
Thank Andrew Miller (not to mention Demps).
Does not matter. These are his last months (maybe even month) in NO.

My source is not connected with Asik.
So no news. In summer his agent was in Istanbul. It is smart to have options open after possible future buyout.
I just read MM tweets in this case. Many of You doubt in him.

That is a ton of money.
He better marry an American.
In a few years he will be out of nba, back in Turkey.

It really is a cool story...
Bonilla was at the end of his career in 2000, and the Mets were looking to buy him out. He was still owed $6M. The Mets owners had come into some pretty lucrative investments at the time, so they decided to ask Bonilla to defer his salary. Instead of giving him the $6M all at once in 2000, they asked him to defer his salary for 11 years and agreed to pay him $1M every year from 2011-2035. The thinking was that they would make more investing the $5.9M over 10 years than the $26M they'd end up paying Bonilla. The catch...the Wilpons lucrative investments were with Bernie Madoff. Obviously, everything collapsed in 2008, and Bonilla is still collecting $1M every July 1st for the next 17 years.
