Injury catch 22 - Stan took not so subtle shot at Pels training & performance mgmt team

Stan made a pretty telling comment last night on load management but the Pels injury and performance management team specifically.
Essentially, he said whatever they're doing isn't working and they need to take a hard look at their processes. Then he broadened it to the whole load management across the league.
But here's the thing. As much as I get pissed at the way we seem to hold guys out longer, it's not like they're good when they come back sooner.
Our guys are extremely ineffective when returning and not 100 percent.
Alvarado after the rib injury wasn't close to as good.
Nance has been terrible since he came back.
CJ with the wrist/COVID
Dyson has been atrocious since coming back from the ankle
I have no idea what the solution is.
It appears that role players are allowed to come back sooner and are ultimately ineffective.
Stars are allowed to rest until 100 percent but it takes forever. CJ being the exception probably telling the staff to F off.
We are either extremely unlucky injury wise or we're doing something very wrong in how these guys prepare.
I'm leaning toward the answer being BOTH.

Our medical staff is a bunch of conservative pussies. At some point, you have to get guys back on the court.

Because Nance, CJ and Jose looked great when they came back.
I agree that the staff isn't doing something right, but it's not as black and white as them just being too conservative.

It’s not that they let role players come back early, they are more conservative with lower body injuries and let guys play with upper body injuries. Toe, hammy, ankle, you aren’t playing. Shoulder, thumb, ribs they will let you play through it.

Well isn't Larry's recent injury an ankle?

Every injury seems to lead to half a season missed. These guys are mid 20s, elite athletes, yet no one ever exceeds rhe injury recovery projection

Playing injured isn’t playing at your peak, but missing weeks at a time will probably lead to some bad play once you return as well. BI sucked when he first came back, then started to come around after several games. It’s a catch 22 because if you hold them out they still aren’t going to immediately make you significantly better. Even if Zion returned, this lineup has basically no experience together. There would probably be an adjustment period in the final games of the season.

I feel Zion is different. He will have rust, but he will do Zion things. He has a drive and desire only seen in the truly elite players.
People say he is fat and won't be effective. That theory has not been proven true. He comes back heavier and everyone whines. He gets in games and does his thing and the vile comments lessen. After two games he is again controlling the entire game.
Commentary about one of our players is inevitable. Zion is often hurt; this is true and no one can deny it. But OMG when he does play...
Let's all wait and see.

He and KD talked about it on Twitter before, but both seem to think load management in itself is leading to more injuries because guys are going from 0 to 100 with no practice and straight to games.
