He was also on a #1 seeded team with prime D Rose. Ingram had a promising start until Lebum went to LA and changed everything. They both got to the all-star game in their 5th year as well. At 24 Butler led his team to a 4th seed with Rose out, they got gentleman swept in the 1st. I could see BI doing that if we had a veteran coach capable of a 50 win 1st seed team, and a roster to match.

as fans it galls to see a guy like ingram considered a max anything.
hes not a great two way. or even known as a two way at all like say brooks of Memphis who got only 1 vote for Dpoy. 15 guys got a vote or three.
not ingram.
hes not great in clutch 2 minutes.
hes a good shooter. nothing much else.
if that's worth max it hurts to cut the check.
fwiw i saw a trade proposal yesterday had ingram worth 3 good memphis guys and 3 #1 picks (two memphis and one back from pels deal) did not get jjj not brooks and not morant.
some writer sees ingram worth a ton. or its just click bait.

He’s more than just a shooter.
He’s top 15 in ppg in the league, and every one above and the 5 players below him are all max players(or will be when eligible) besides Derozan, who is having a career year so far but still makes right around what BI makes this year because of vet scale.
BI complaining comes down to needing a lot of perfect being the mortal enemy of the good energy.

We spent years hating on Jrue for not being CP3. We eventually accepted and appreciated who he was and now we miss him. The problem was never with Jrue, it was the other holes in the roster. The same is true with Ingram.
I really hope they find a way to get a lead guard so we can start focusing on what Zion and Ingram can do instead of what they can’t do.

he really does. He's looked disinterested the last 2 games.
I watched the first 8 minutes of the game on Saturday and turned it off b/c of what i saw from him. Didnt watch last night as i was busy watching a team that actually gives a shite in LSU, but watched the extended highlights and i said to myself once i got near the end of it "i've seen BI make 1 shot in these highlights". Check the box score and looks like he had a pathetic outing, again.
Can't really blame him too much. He's human, and i'm sure he's very frustrated. Still expect better from him, but he needs to snap out of it b/c when you are a max contract guy, you can't give these kind of efforts.

I feel like you used to constantly hear stories about staff having to unlock the gym for him at like midnight because he wanted to get shots in. Not anymore.

Look at our line up last night, 4 players of the 12 that played would get minutes on a playoff contender.

Jones
And that 4th one is pushing it.
We are a bad team.
We are a thin team.
We are down a starting PG and PF on a team where there's no backup that is worth a damn. This team somehow went from asset-filled to nothing, very...very quick.
Look at our line up last night, 4 players of the 12 that played would get minutes on a playoff contender.

That’s no excuse for BI to just absolutely suck.
Beal was second in the running for a scoring title last year and he was playing those games with a bunch of junk, too.
If he’s injured, say he’s injured. Otherwise, he needs to be substantially better.
