Come on now….Zion missed a year with a toe injury. You didn’t pick up any sarcasm?

I’d be shocked if it isn’t at least a 10 day injury with our training staff, and that’s if there is no real damage. It could be double that. Unfortunately, it seems to take BI at least a week to fully get back to himself even after he returns. We need CJ out of protocols and back on the court ASAP.

BI hasn’t looked right to me this season. He’s been productive, but not the real BI. I’m sort of with the mindset of, make sure he’s right when he comes back this time.

this injury will prevent * some kinds of moves and shots.

* he will be strictly prohibited

so it makes sense it takes a few days to get the shots all back to A game level.

These injuries make wonder how the league is 75+ years old.

During the 1st 50 years, guys played hurt. With ever passing year, the league becomes softer and more players sit out and rest. But the fans still pay more and more for less and less. Just call it Professional sports inflation.

I get the frustration and I agree our medical staff is a bit ridiculous. But BI tried to play through it and couldn’t. He’s hurt and needs some time

Huh? He’s been having a great year. Take out the games he left with injuries before you start quoting averages, too.

He’s been our best player

As a mod, I expect more from you. Sarcasm is frowned upon. We are a serious bunch.

As I said, the production has been there. And BI IS our best player IMO. But he’s been in and out of the lineup with injuries and hasn’t looked as aggressive and fluid as I believe him to be. I would like to make sure he’s fully healthy before throwing him back out there, only to leave a few games later.

And the product was awful, if you've ever watched footage of 60s-70s NBA. Chamberlain was able to have 50+ rebound games because teams shot 30% from the field in days with no reward for shooting from distance. Which takes nothing away from how phenomenal Wilt was that he essentially got every available miss.

Exactly so it's not that players/teams are softer now, it's that they're smarter.

To play nowadays, you actually have to put forth effort. In the 60s, 70s and 80s it was easier to play through an injury... if you ever watch a full game on ESPN Classic, you'll see how true that statement. The amount of standing around and lack of effort back then is astounding. Even in the biggest games. Those couple of Lakers-Celtics Finals being a great example.
