I'm warming up to the Pelican name switch

I was sour on both the change and the new name for a long while. I have 10 years invested as a "Hornets" fan and thought the color changes plus the Fluer-De-Bee were enough "Louisiana" touches for me. I also didn't like Pelican and thought something like VooDoo would be a lot better if a name change was inevitable.
But after letting it sink in I'm really liking the Pelican thing more and more. The logo came out better than I thought and it will be nice to have the team with a true Louisiana themed mascot. I also liked what I heard about coastal restoration awareness and contribution which is obviously more important than any of this.
Anyway I'm not in Louisiana for a few more years but I'm looking forward to attending many Pelicans games in 2015

I'm not there yet. I would have liked us to be the Pirates or the Jazz (I know).

It's grown on me as well. I really like the logo's they came out with. Should be a good move all around.

cool. close to what i went through. hang around. i'm trying to avoid the poliboard. won't be entirely successful but it would help to have a fellow refugee.

the logo is nice. But I think "Louisiana Pelicans" or "Crescent City Pelicans" sounds better than "New Orleans Pelicans"
