It's only like $4-$5 million extra next year if he doesn't get it. If AD has another statistically good season but doesn't get the required accolades because the team made the wrong moves, like I said, that's the kind of thing that can sour an otherwise good relationship. I'm Sorry just doesn't cover losing someone $40 million.
If these pieces don't fit around AD, the best move really is to focus on Clean Slate 2017.

How many All Star starters and All NBA team selections come from mid lottery teams? I'm not saying it's impossible, but the bigger the hole gets the bigger the risk to his Rose Rule status.

If he's at the top of the ballot again this year like he was last year(which I honestly think helped), he'll get voted in again.
